Depends, if both plugins do the same thing they could disrupt each other.

If you like certain things one does and not the other just turn them off on the other and vice versa.
 
Yoast and All in One SEO Pack are the best plugins I've used
 
Use Yoast instead. They do pretty much the same thing but Yoast allows you to edit meta data without upgrading to premium.
 
These plugins are limited to your site. You can follow their suggestions which will be pretty much the same. What you do after that in terms of content, link building, onsite is what actually determines your ranking to a certain extent.
 
I use just yoast nothing more than that. Actually since I setup yoast my rankings performance became x2 more faster

See it will have a negative effect on your website. Lots of people do this, they used multiple free plugins as no single free plugin gives them all features so instead they use multiple to get everything. For example if you use Yoast and all in one, they both does the same job, but if both of them are working they will create duplicate meta tags which will have negative impact on your website.
 
It depends on what the plugins do. No need to have plugins doing the same thing as they can affect each others functionality. Yoast is the most popular SEO plugin for WordPress for a good reason. It's simple and has traffic light colors that indicate the quality of the content from an SEO point of view. It allows you to preview how your site will look on search results on desktop and mobile. Not much the plugin can't do. Would go with this over others.
 
If they are similar plugins, it might be a conflict between each since they both are working solve similiar issues.
 
it can if an update from one plugin can crash the setting of other plugin that could effect on page seo
