Hey guys,

I´m currently struggling with ranking an Online Shop.
This month it had 2k visitors so far, 70% of these by direct access, so not very much by google.
Currently, it has a few hundred items listed but only 2k sales this month so far.

Keywords are used and automated via the shop system we use.
Descriptions are most of the time by the producer of the product ( we are a B2B shop).
The Online Shop is just the side business but we´d like to push our Online Shop more than Amazon or eBay as they take a lot of profit from us.

What would you do to rank your items properly, most of the time against big Online Shops in comparison to our. We have about 500 Backlinks right now and the DA is 21.

Use your profit to advertise your shop to get bigger

Increase the topical relevancy of your site; have clear categories & articles relating to your categories/topics and products.

Try to put product image as a quality one with good description give some offers compare to other competitors and promote in social media to attract the audiences.

I would advise to use social media (FB, IG, Tik Tok even). Post some relatable content on your store or even try to create some interactive quizzes, etc. that would lead to the potential customers to check products of yours.

For example, if you're selling dog beds, you could create a quiz on "Which dog breed are you?" or "How Much Do You Actually Know About Dogs?" and you would go ahead and advertise your store products at the end of the quiz saying that every dog needs comfortable dog bed. Post these quizzes on groups related to dogs, pets, etc.

Though, personally, I'm not bugging myself with these tactics anymore and just run FB ads which is way faster to see results.
