has anyone done seo for insurance companies? like life insurance, medical insurance. Is it more a local SEO (gmb) service or website

Super super hard here in the US if you're not one of the big insurers. Almost not even worth it for independent insurance brokers.

this company doesnt even have a review. Theres some companies with reviews locally. But the problem with them is they do multiple services. They haven't niched down

@Jack Rodding exactly what BassTrackerBoats said, the big companies will be able to outspend you 10-1.

Really what's best is just brand building. Handing out business cards, getting into the local chamber of commerce, holding seminars, etc.

Hi Mate - If you have BIG Pockets, go for Premium Websites Publications and it works.

SEO for insurance companies can be highly effective when implemented correctly. The insurance industry is competitive, with many companies vying for attention in both local and national markets. SEO strategies can help insurance companies stand out, attract more website visitors, and convert those visitors into leads and customers.

Hey Jack,

Yeah SEO for the insurance industry does absolutely work.

The issue you will likely experience is how much budget you need to compete (at least within the US).

However, in my experience, the best course of action is first to check off the basics (on-page SEO, etc.). In terms of link-building (a lot will depend on your client their budget), I would first do an Audit (Content gaps, competitor analysis, keywords, etc.) - This would first give you an idea of some strategies you could use and the kind of opportunities you could go after.

I would also likely look into building links from highly authoritative domains and perhaps a PR campaign might prove to be fruitful if you have the budget.

Are they a small company? As i would not expect a large company to employ SEO as they all use the same comparison databases and just rotate. Only major players rank organic.

It's a mix of local SEO for GMB listings and website optimization. For life and medical insurance, focusing on content that answers common questions or concerns can attract traffic.
