SEO for a vbulletin forum

Im new using vBulletin.. and i find out that there are so much footprints that i already removed (no index).. but right now im having a issue with duplicate content (alot..) tags/h1/h2.. from threads.

Any suggestion from an expert with vbulletin to avoid this kind of issue?

Other recommendation for a good seo onpage on Vbulletin?

As stated by vBulletin support:

VB automatically puts the canonical URL in the header of the page. The canonical URL tells Google to always use the thread URL when viewing the page, not the post URL.

Tags are a disaster for SEO, especially vbulletin and wordpress.

You should probably disallow it via robots and edit the templates to remove the listings.
