There is such a thing because people define a style of link building with this tag... I get you though - No form of link building can be legit if it is artificially manipulating rankings. But these definitions of wh and bh serve their purpose.. I mean a manual high quality guest post on the likes of the huff post is a far cry from 1000 blog comments and so on..

So yeah in a sense there is a such thing as WH.. but in reality it's a term used to describe what would be considered a "safer & higher quality" form of link building.. one which when done right should appear to Google as natural.

Agree 100%, SEOs employ a variety of techniques to lure unsuspecting service buyers whether or not their services actually work.

I've been afraid lately to buy anymore services on here.

I ordered 10 expired domains for $50 each. Separate hosts and everything, repurposed the sites for my niche, no footprints, linked out to various authority sites and randomly injected my money sites or parasites.

Everytime I'd build a link the site would move up a couple positions then come right back down to the same spot.

Then I ordered a service from Seoguy99 like 1 month later. The first week my site jumps 10-12 positions to page 1... stays there for a week and comes right back down to it's original spot on the bottom of page 2. My site kills it in the local pack for a lot of keywords but the shit does not wanna budge from page 2 no matter what (organically). I've done other links as well like a press release. Got in Google news, ABC, etc etc. The package with seoguy wasn't just network links it was diversified with other whitehat links.

The sites over 3 years old, lots of content, I did quite a bit of WH SEO to it the first year. I keep working on it. 2 weeks ago compressed everything and cut the size in half. But the shit still won't budge.

Back in the day I could rank sites with ease but these days I have no idea what I'm doing anymore. What's weirder is my parasites are jumping up the SERPs (like yelp) but the money site remains eternally frozen.

SEO never ceases to be confusing.

nice advise. this is not just tips for SEO service but technically to buy any service. there's always a risk in every business decision. i'm also an offline store owner, own couple of small online businesses, and still do forex trading since many years ago, and all that I do always have its own risk and nothing is 100% future-proof. Business, be it about SEO or about something else, is always about taking chance with managed risks. Even the biggest companies still take wrong business decision sometimes.

It's just silly indeed to see people offering 100% guarantee their service will help our site to rank at #1. it's just impossible to guarantee such thing. when we buy any kind of service to market our business, we need to remember there's always risk involved. People need to learn about risk management. it's very important in making business decisions

I think a lot of people are overlooking the basics of SEO that will get you to the top and focusing too much on BH and other spammy techniques

Mostly agree, when you order seo you should read between lines, my favorite one is "Get links from pr 8-9 domains", on the end it is web 2.0 post, and sure you getting links from 0 metrics page.

I would not say that 200$ SEO is same like 5000$, in some cases yes, if we talk about re-sellers, but there is providers who sell with 5k+ monthly, but do provide links on big authority sites, like a single link in local biggest news internet portal can cost you 500+$.

You could start a decent blog with all the stuff you've shared lately Congrats on another great article!

SEO isn't really that hard if you stick to the basics and don't fill your site with spammy and over linked back links. I honestly don't think google's changes have effected the people who do seo the old fashioned way, it is the people trying to cheat the system that are chasing their tail trying to rank.
keep it simple and keep it basic and you will see your sites slowly climb. I have a website selling a well known product that is no.1 and outranks Amazon, ebay. Etc and even outranks the company that distributes the merch that I buy from.
going back to basics works for me... You just need to work with it

I don't own the sites in Speed Rank and they're not blog networks.. We broker links on static sites from Russian link exchanges, so yes it is very much public, always has been and clients signing up know this too - they use Speed Rank for churning and burning sites in black hat projects not for long term projects like a PBN would be used for.
