ALWAYS written docs...Checklists are for me to make sure I don´t skip anything and every time I conduct an audit I cover everything every single time.

I started delivering PDFs but, lately, I started to deliver audits through Google docs. I prefer it to be like this because the client can post comments on specific sections of the audit and I can reply to them on the fly.
