Hey forum -

I recently got into SEO, and now I'm balls deep in e-books and articles on backlinking, what works, what doesn't work...

The reason for the interest is that I want to get into niche blogging AND I need to start getting more organic traffic to a brand new blog that I started about a month ago.

My understanding is that backlinks are crucial to SEO success. I am worried that I might be building backlinks to my site too quickly, but not too worried

I have decided that it is best for me to outsource my backlinking/SEO needs to save time.

Thoughts?

I don't know if I want to drop a bunch of money on software. So I seek advice, and I know this is a good place to start.

Cheers,
Will

Even if you are going to outsource quite a bit of the work I would still invest in scrapebox. It includes lots of good tools for checking links in addition to blog commenting.

Out sourcing is not really a problem, just make sure that you understand exactly what you are buying. Some sales copy can be a bit misleading so if you are not 100% what the service ask some questions.

Yes you can outsource SEO if you don`t have time to learn applications, link building tecnhiques etc...
I would recommend for you to focus on your blog, that`s the most important(to make a reader to subscribe),and let the SEO for exeperienced users OR if you have time start learning it,but there i long way to learn the "whole seo thing" :D

Do some test sites and start cheap, after you know what you want go expensive.

There are a few programs that work well when combined with manual link building - like scrapebox and article marketing robot. They are cheap enough and effective enough to buy if you can afford them.

If you are concerned about hitting your site too hard, focus on linking with manually credited links (no way to over do that), and then use the automated stuff to backlink to those, so you get a mini pyramid of links.

you can try directory submission and PR or article submission too... and try to communicate with other bloggers for your link exchange.... hope this helps :)

The site position depends on many factors and relevance is I think the most important factor, you should see how other sites do optimisation and optimise your pages like others do.

considering the site is new I would advise against using automated tools to make tons of links, keep it manual and high quality, do some directory submission in a few good directories, a few article submissions in the top article directories, some link exchange with a few good sites and you should be on the right track.
