Detailed reports, proof of rankings achieved, professional emails.

NOT ONE REPLY......unbelievable. Not one reply.

I treid this 2010 same again...i think i got 2 replies from about 100+ sent.

IMHO it simply does not work.

So how many of them have you contacted 2 days later to discuss it with them?

There are so many people succeeding with this method, so saying it wont work does not seem right, and I think you know that too.. The best advice that I can give you, is dont give up. Because you will end up the same way as you did in 2010; NOWHERE. And it appears that is not what you want, because you have tried it again..

There could be a million reasons why it didn't work the most important is that you don't give up.

Our society is really self-centered and ignorance is also another reason.may be all are the busy in our work.

50 is nowhere near enough to get a good response. Try a couple 100.

Also did you add anything tracking pixel to see how many where read?

it doesn't work simply because you did not carry out the plan the proper way?
how many of them did you call to check if they had question on the email you sent?
What were the contents of your email?
Why don't you try physical mail instead?

You can't just say it doesn't work - goodluck

It's only been a week - many people don't check their emails often enough. You said your emails were professional, which may seem professional to you, but not to others. You could try to ask them what they think to get a response so at least so you know. Vary your methods by including calls, visits in person or sending letters. You can try a different method for the ones that don't respond.

The only problem I see here is the kind of volume: 50 emails are really nothing in this specific marketing area.

sales is all about numbers. Many will say NO, and few will say YES. But that ratio depends mostly on you and the product.

Here is what I do. Figure out your average ratio. Let's say you make a sale to 1/100 emails you send. That sale makes you $500. So you make $500 for every 100 emails you send. It takes you 5 hours to prepare and send those. You are making $100/hr. Now scale it up, hiring out the redundant processes. Now you can send 1000 at a time.

hang in there. Try different methods. And I would send out a generic report first before spending time on a detailed one.

Statistically, unsolicited e-mail response rates are ABYSSMAL -- as in, WELL UNDER 1%. If you're even going to mess with them at all, then it should only be as an adjunct to your PHYSICAL mailings and other means of prospecting.

Questions;
- How did you send the emails? Gmail? SendGrid? Mandrill? your own SMTP server?
- Do you have any tracking pixels to see the Open rate?
- What did the emails look like? Well formatted? Spelling? Images?

Email is still one of the biggest earners in Internet Marketing, unless you sent some illiterate drivel or mentioned that your uncle is the King of Nigeria you should get a good response rate. As with all things, computers merely process what you give them. If the input (addresses) is crap, all you will get as the output is processed crap.

Cold emails don't normally work...because:

1) Unless they gave you the correct email address you are sending it to their "default" email for the business.
2) IF you got a real email address, and they don't know you, or weren't expecting it, it went into the Spam folder, or they put it there once they opened it and didn't know who you were.
3) Whoever sent the email (you), didn't present the information correctly.
4) Whoever sent the email (you), didn't follow up on it with a call to answer questions/set up a time to talk to them or come in.
5) You didn't send enough out.

If you are going to send emails (which we don't recommend), then you need to send it to a huge list, as this method has a very low (like bulk mailing) ROI.

If you call the list first and find out their actual email address and only send emails to INTERESTED/Qualified parties...you will see a larger ROI.

You need to send at least 1000 COLD email to get any kind of response.

Best way to do it, is to call first and just tell them you're sending something very important to their business, then follow up with a warm call.

Or don't call first, but do call to follow up.

Your response will be way better that just sending and praying.

LOL so you need to send 10,000 to get sale? LOL ^^ any

how.I came to realize a long time ago SEO and gaming G. isn't business. It's waste of time in the long run.

Adios! thx

10,000...? I said 1000 COLD EMAILS. If you follow up you'll only need about 100.

Also who's taking about gaming G?

A waste of time is for you to only send 50 emails and expecting 5 hungry customers to contact you money on hand. It doesn't work like like that, no matter what wso says so.

good luck, Sayonara!

You could go all the way offline and pick up the phone to do local prospecting. 50 calls ARE sufficient in most metro markets to end up getting 4-5 appointments, to end up with one deal.

try to sent 100k emails im sure youll get some response from them or sales. :)

Businesses that I work for get tonnes of SEO emails and phone calls. They hate them. I get the clients because I get references from people they trust. It takes longer, but build up your contacts through getting good results :)

Im gonna start a spam campain this week. But i have questions for some of the guys here. I have a high ticket offer im gonna promise them that there ad will be in 10.000 houses for 10 months garantued, and im gonna do alot of marketing for them plus i am gonna trow a bonus in it like making apps, mobile website,fb fanpage, 8 hours of linkbuilding, web2.0 site.. 300 flyers for each company. Only 12 companies per city. for the price of 3000 dollars.

Would this work with cold email? How should i aproach this. I dont have a website and im planning on telling them that i give the bonus because i want to built a portofolio.
Plus i want them to sent me a check without me coming to there busniuss ever.

If you're feeling discouraged then a good thing to try might be to get out of the house and go talk to some people. It is nerve-racking at first but after a while you'll find that it's not bad at all-- it's really about approaching it in the right way.

You might do like I did and setup a meetup group devoted to your topic-- have a few meetings where you give away some information to business owners who are looking to get their websites ranking. After you build some rapport, ask people for referrals. You would be surprised how fast it can grow if you have a good service! Good luck, and don't give up!
