Hi,

Im newbie here and also in SEO and been doing research on building my first amazon site and even i have read and watched a ton of material on how to find/choose right keywords, im only able to find methods on how to FIND keywords and i have this part covered.

I have found thousands of keywords related to my site, now whats confusing me, is how do i pick right ones out from those thousands? What i have understood is not to make your keyword density over 2 so max 20 keywords over 1k words. So for my 1 blog post ill only need to select around 10 from thousands.

Most of tutorial videos say "now that you have find your thousand keywords, pick the ones YOU LIKE"

I dont get it. Me LIKING some words have nothing to do with them being good/right keywords LOL

I know i have to analyse data next to keywords, so ill have (in Semrush for example):

Keyword-Position-Volume-KD-CPC-Competition-Traffic%-Costs-Results-Trend

Im sure there is simple formula for this but i cant find it online.

Do I need to look for:
Highest Position
Highest Volume
Lowest KD
Highest CPC
Lowest Competition
Highest Traffic%
Highest Cost
Highest Results
Highest-Raising Trend

Or do i get it wrong and what would be the right formula?

Thanks for helping newbie to grow :)

You pick the "buyer intent" keywords with lowest competition possible.

Separate the ones that have buyer intent (best of, review, cheap, buy, for sale, for kids, for elders, for unicorns, etc) from ones that don't. Then sort them by competition (lowest first ofc) and start writing articles.

You can choose the low competition keywords you don't worry about search volume because low competition keywords will easily rank your site.

Using "google adwords" tool & find the low competition keyword, After that start link building, Definitely you get finite result, Need any more clarification contact me skype id : adam.smith5171

yes thats the way look for low difficulty and high searches term , work on it.

Right. I dont have issues finding a lot of keywords. Choosing 10 from them for my article is difficult part.

There should be at least some minimum volume? Cause building my page around 10 keywords each having 10 searches per month will do no good right? Wont bank any with 100 or less visits per month or am i thinking wrong here?

Im not 100% decided on the niche ill use by now, cause every one has some issues i dont like. Last one i chose and thought i could do well has only 800 searches per month on "best niche" (also there is mutiple amzon affiliate pages on first page for this search) and competition is high+ when i followed your signature post directions, there was no buyer intent keywords with higher volume than 500 and competition under 40. As i see my niche products having massive amount of reviews on amazon they tend to be really popular in US, i just dont understand why people does not google them. Keyword "niche" has 20k searches.

Thank you all for your imput, im sure ill get the right method eventually :)

Too good :) But you focus single keyword and start you Link building process, Especially on page work is very important, so concentrate on this :);)

OP, take a look at those "10 a month search volume KWs" here - https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/my-journey-to-flipping-an-amazon-affiliate-site-for-xx-xxx.848588/

If you are planning to have a lot of content, then I wouldn't bother and target these keywords as well. I alone still have issues with structuring bigger sites and figuring how to go about KWs within the articles. It's an art in a way, especially if you want to be as efficient as possible. And if you suffer from action paralysis like I do, then it can be quite a crap to overcome it and actually get to work.

Im still struggling to understand which KWs should i pick. Lets say my amazon website will have pillar article on main page and 10 extra pages with my reviews/products. I understand i need 1 main keyword for pillar article and 10 for my pages. 10 for my pages i think will be "best 《my product type》 for 《relevant task》", now, i dont know how smart this is. And for my pillar article, i cant go for "best my niche" cause there are 15 different words describing my niche.

If i choose low competition kw, i will not get traffic to my site cause there is no volume, if i choose kw by volume, i wont be able to rank my site high enough to get traffic.

Could anyone give me an example of picking right kw PROCESS for starting small amazon affiliate review site?
Lets say example niche is "Shoes/footwear" and 5 review pages will be about
1. Running shoes
2. Dancing shoes
3. Outdoor shoes
4. Working shoes
5. Children shoes
So there will be 1 main and 5 extra keywords needed. Which keywords would you pick and WHY?

Thanks in advance and i hope thats not too much im asking!

Exactly. I do find a lot of keywords. How do I DECIDE which one to choose? Usually every single kw with volume and buyer intent has max or near max competition. Keywords with low competition does not have buyer intent or volume.

choose kw with a lot volume and low competition.

There are no kw's with alot of volume and low competition. Not in any evergreen niche. I mean, i have no idea how to find one. Help needed.

I'm currently struggling to find a good niche and decent keywords for my amazon niche site as well. Either my niche products range from 10-50$ and the competition is low or the price is a bit higher but the competition is way harder. Finding a good keyword with decent search volume is a struggle, I've been looking for the past 2 days. What might help you decide on keywords and structure is, when you're researching your niche you might stumble on affiliate sites ranked at the top, click on them don't be shy. When you land on their site take a look at their structure and keyword choices, this has given me an idea on how I'd like to structure my site and what keywords to pick. Anyways today will be my third day trying to find a good niche and decent keywords, hopefully I'll be able to find something.

I found a keyword xxx of xxx (indicates a problem) and this keyword gets 2,9k searches in US, cpc is 0,0, competition is 0,0. This problem has tons of cpa offers as a solution to monetize my site with. Now, semrush shows keyword difficulty 79,12.

Is that a good keyword to start? Or am I confusing keyword difficulty and competition (havent really understood the difference)?
