Selling Sucks...!!

I was cruising along and found this interesting Read started by some Phd in Social Science at University of Wisconsin. The dude is balking on-an-on about how much it sucks to try and sell for a living. About how sales people are no longer needed....bla-bla-bla.

He brought up some good points....but then i mentioned to him on his "blog" that was he and his cohorts were talking about ....wasn't really selling.

Anyway, here's the thread. I thought it was a pretty good read (informative at the least) Made me sharpen my pencil.

i never do direct selling as such, i prefer to go a bit more subtle and build trust in a website then later down the line start recommending products i think readers would like, no hard in your face selling.
Trust is important, once readers trust you then the actual selling gets easier

Well the truth is, he and his posters weren't talking about selling.

Oh no...he's got a real Phd. I've met his type before.

Point is, he did bring up some valid arguments.....

Selling today is much different from 10yrs ago....
