Just had one of my clients kindly let me know that my BST has been closed.

The last post in it from MisterF says "BST Closed, seller isn't maintaining their sales thread." without any conact from mr or any other explanation.

I've already had an infraction from answering ppl's questions more than once every 48 hours which is already allowed, and now it seems if you don't post in your own BST for a while it'll just be closed.

What happened to getting what you paid for?

Seriously not happy.

And yes, I have obviously contacted MisterF and OldSalt for follow up.

Your bst probably must have been idle for long to warrant that, I am sure contacting the moderators like you stated you did will reinstate your sales thread.

Last post was from a client on 3rd October 2020, so 3 weeks ago, but you're right I haven't posted in there for a while, didn't see there were questions I hadn't answered.
Hope they do fix it up.

Good news you can reply more than one time now.

Bad news mods were right to close, but if you simply make a request and promise to answer it regularly itll be reopened. Ps just be careful of the language though

Sales threads don't stay active indefinitely, you need to renew them to keep active; thirty dollars annually.

Under the new and improved accounts upgrades section, you can manage your active payments and subscriptions on BHW.

Keep in mind, BHW does not auto-renew your subscriptions, you need to do this manually.

You won't need to worry about this moving forward, an update has been made in Version 2.0 of the forum remedying this, please click here for additional information.

Ex-Mods cannot process payments or reactivate marketplace threads.

Perhaps, the better solution would be to contact support.blackhatworld.com to inquire about the closure of your sales thread so you can get a solution instead of a headache.

Wow this is new to me.. I have been rather busy for some days and was shocked to realise I had not posted on my BST for almost 2weeks. There was no customer post and really did not have something new to say, so I just skipped. Guess I have to say "hi" to my thread every 3 days at least ha ha.

Yep, it would seem that posting that you're still available for orders once a week at a minimum is a good idea.

Have read the new bumping rules as pointed out above, thanks. Makes more sense.

In regards to paying the the thread, I do pay the $30 each year and you can see that it's still not due for renewal until December 2020 just above the OP.

It would seem that part of the problem is that I'm not getting emailed alerts on threads being updated like this one, even though the settings say I should be receiving the emails.

Just a follow up to say that MisterF let me know that I'll have to create a support ticket requesting the BST to be reopened which I have now done.

This is a standard post when someone does not maintain their sales thread:

Thread Closed

The PM you received when your sales thread was approved stated that marketplace threads require maintenance. As you've now been absent for 2+ weeks, your thread has been closed.

If you have any outstanding orders, you'll need to submit proof that the orders have either been fulfilled or refunded before we'll reopen your thread. To do this, you'll need to contact the buyers via PM (not Skype or email) so that we can verify it.

Thread Moved

Abandoned threads have always been closed, but we've only started posting those notices in BSTs since last year to alert the seller about it.

We close sales threads that appear inactive for a number of reasons, namely, but not limited to:
  • Preventing buyers from purchasing from NLA services that the seller will have to refund.
  • Preventing sellers from using the marketplace purely to list their service without managing their buyers from BHW.
  • Improving the overall quality of the marketplace.
In regards to the last one, we want our buyers here to have a smooth experience. Think of it like having a shop with an open sign that's actually closed. This happens a lot on the marketplace when active threads aren't closed, resulting in frustration on the buyer's end. Remember, you want to sell here because of the potential customers you can receive on the forum, so keeping them happy is just as important as keeping sellers happy.

In the event that a seller still wishes to actively maintain their BST, it's a simple matter of using support.blackhatworld.com
