Hey BHW Family,

I have a few concerns on my mind. I'm planning to start a digital marketing agency that offers various services, including web development, social media management, advertising, reputation management, and more.

My goal is to acquire clients through marketing. However, my concern is that businesses in these niches often turn to reputable platforms like Fiverr and Upwork to find service providers.

So, my question is: Can I still get clients by running marketing campaigns, even though many clients prefer these platforms? If so, could you provide an example to help me understand how this can work?

Looking forward to your insights!

Yes, you can still get clients through marketing campaigns.

Just focus on showing the value you offer, like personalized service, and businesses will reach out to you directly.

I'm curious, why did you choose them over trying to get clients directly through this forum? It's also a great place to network and connect with businesses too.

Thanks for postive response.

I will surely do value for offer.

I'm new to BHW learning how this work and will surely get clients from this forum as well.

Hey Man,

Great initiative to start something of your own. In my opinion the best sort of clients are the ones who retain and recur the sales every month.

If you are new at Fiverr and Upwork, their system does not really help the new sellers, and you need to pay a certain amount only to reach "potential clients" out. While at BHW, people are readily available to reach out to, and you can literally DM your proposal to them without any hassle. Find people in the WTB and Hire a Freelancer section, where they post their queries when they need a service, then you have to beat every other person who has already DM'd the client, through pitching your value proposition, and if they like your proposal, they will ping you back.

I hope it helped.

Thank you.

BHW is a great place to network and learn, so you’re definitely on the right track.

Best of luck with everything, and I'm sure you'll do great getting clients here :)

Hey Adeel,

Yes, fiver and upwork are not in helping for new sellers that's why I'm thinking to go through Meta Marketing to take a risk. I know I have to spend alot there but maybe I find some potential clients which will be benifit for me in Future.

Secondly, I'm going to use this platform as well.

Thanks

Be active on related FB groups and sub-reddits and you'll find clients.

Yes, you can get clients through marketing campaigns. Many businesses prefer agencies for reliability and full-service solutions.

How?

  1. Run Ads & Content – Use Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn.
  2. Offer a Lead Magnet – Free consultation or strategy guide.
  3. Follow Up & Convert – Nurture leads with emails and calls.

Example: Run Facebook ads targeting restaurants, offer a free Instagram marketing guide, then follow up to close deals.

Agencies win by providing trust, scalability, and complete solutions.
