Start learning about new trends ... flat web design,metro is in right now.... clean, elegant and simple design is what everyone after... there are tons of thing you can do with css , use css sprite to decrease site load time, mix cool colors, stick with 3 or 4 colors in a one site.use less images in site use css instead ... for example .. call to action button ... you can make same effect with css instead of using tons of images.

Imho design starts when you build something from scratch. Modification of existing skins does not much have to do with design. Get your camera out and shoot some pictures of animals, landscapes or products and build a website around that from scratch. This will pose a much greater challenge. Easy way to find out if you have talent. Or go to sites like http://creattica.com/css/latest and get some inspiration.
 
Fine start. Don't waste time wondering if you can do it just dig in and three months from now see where you're at. You'll get better!
 
structure design is good juts play with some graphics like put the buttons instead of text, and images work more than text.
 
Almost everyone can become a good designer. You should have more practive. I can give you an advice: find a few goodlooking sites and try to copy them in photoshop. It always works.
 
okay design but very plain. You should study the design of successful & attractive websites then practice recreating them while using your own unique touch.

I think its a good start, if this is really a starting point but you need to have some dvd tutorials on the subject.. From graphics to web design that is. You can try lynda they have loads of material
 
It looks like some free theme from the wordpress blog platform.
Not actually bad, but theres a lot to be improved to catch the visitor's attention. :)
 
Browse a lot on design inspiration websites so you can have an idea of how things should look like and what looks professional. You doesn't need to copy them just get the feel of how things are done.
 
Try adobe muse cc. It's a very simple and user friendly software. You can learn how to use it in 1 day or 2.
 
Everything comes in time. So keep working.
 
The site is nicely set up, but it looks kinda... "primitive". You need to spice it up, make it more attractive :) Good luck.
 
nice design dude.but you must have knowledge about latest trends and some java script plugins etc to make it beautiful.
