I have a site I use that has been penalized by google sometime ago, traffic dropped heavily but I still use it. Im thinking on registering a new domain with a small change in the name (just a letter) and clone the content from my existing site into the new domain. Site is quite small, 5-6 pages with 250-500 words each. My question is, can the duplicated content hurt the SEO of the new domain? I plan to build backlinks on the new domain and add a blog section to write new content.
Any advise is appreciated.
