Any how a simple answer for all your question is, the motive of SEO is to increase the visibility of a site in search engine,, the website which ranks first will gain more traffic and leads.. And regarding SEO manual processes will support white hat SEO

SEO means search engine optimization.
When you google something, for example 'tacos' you'll get a first page of 10 results, with thousands of pages to follow.

The purpose of SEO is to manipulate the order in which those search results appear.

Beyond that, do your own research. Nobody will answer such benign and easy-to-find-for-yourself questions for you. The only reasonable excuse for wanting to be spoon fed like this is that you're a toddler.

All seo software are bad, all automatic processes are bad. A good seo is done manually.
 
Yes.. using all softwares will not help to increase serp. If it helps also they will not stay for long period.. Google really needs the informative sites which really helps its users..
 
Tools and software people use for SEO will mainly depend on how they use it. I see many using bots for social media sites and didn't have any problems with it because they use them properly. If you abuse them, then of course, you'll get your accounts banned.
