A domain that can be used worldwide and anyone seeing the name will understand the concept: scratch a (digital) scratchcard and see if you get cash back on your purchase.

Besides the domain we also have the software for the scratchcard (which look absolutely fantastic, so not just the regular two swipes to open them but layer by layer) and a system that makes it possible for any webshop anywhere in the world to join the concept. All languages supported, software is battle-tested.

At present not online, but tested in the past and it all works like a charm.

What I would like to know is what the domain (or concept) might be worth.

Any ideas?

at the moment $15-$20. Since its just a random domain name that you bought. Now if you have a domain that has hundreds and thousands of users and has been existing for yers and is a popular and profitable portal. Then you ask how much the domain is worth if you want to sell it.

Before that, it's just your worthless idea. Like every domain is just an idea until it gets regular traffic and makes a profit.

Worthless idea does not sound all that friendly, but I agree on what you say about the traffic. We ran a short test in America something like a year ago where e had close to 35k visitors in the first week, 41k in the second week. On the income-side (online shops only during the test) we had 23 interested shops in the first week and 28 new ons in the second. A way too short test to be indicative of what real life would do, but at least an indication that it has potential.

Also I did not buy the domain, I hand-registered it myself.

Just go ahead and build the site then, you tested it so why stop? What you want to know. YOu probably know more about this niche and than others here if you ran those numbers.

And how did you not buy the domain? you hand registered it yourself? you went to the official ICANN offices and registered it on their computers? lol of course you bought the domain. You either paid $15 or whatever. You still registered and bought it.

Of course I did not register on ICANN, what I meant is that I did not buy it from someone else.

Regarding building it: maybe sometime soon but not now. I first need to wrap up some other work, but if we start I will make sure I will send you a message.

I would say this is an accurate assessment concerning the value of the domain.

@LONELY HEARTS ADS I would suggest that you consider developing the domain into a functioning website and build up its traffic and income if you plan on selling it.

As you have had an answer to your question I am going to close this thread now as we don't generally allow "how much is my XXX worth" type threads on blackhatworld.

Thread closed.
