Since there isn't a sales thread I figured this was the best place to put up new videos I make for scrapejet.

The most recent I made is how to take the auto approve lists scrapejet creates and then edit scrapejet files so that you can use scrapejet to then expand those lists and get even more links.

Let me also be clear. I don't want this to turn into a Sweetfunny flame thread. If you like scrapejet thats great, if you don't like scrapejet thats fine too. If you like other of SweetFunnys products thats great, if you don't like other of SweetFunnys products that fine too.

This thread is about ScrapeJet. If you have value to contribute, go ahead, if you have nothing but negative things to say about scrapejet or any other product then just go away. Trolls are unwelcome in this thread.

In short NoOne Cares if you do or don't like a product. We can all make up our own minds. This thread is for those who have made up their mind that they like scrapejet and they want to make the most out of it.

I am providing Value here, don't go flaming me saying I am promoting this or that.

:lame: You clearly can't read the intention of the thread, I even large sized the font and you still missed it. The last one wasn't a sales thread, neither is this one. Many people own Scrapejet and I am showing them how they can better use it. The last one didn't get deleted because it was a sales thread. It got deleted because the content spiraled into rule breaking.

I would say this is advertising at all, think of every other product that doesnt have a bst but has 100s od videos and pdfs on loads of threads

I was talking to Sweetfunny about encoding footprints and to make things easier they made this little tool for us.

I assume its self explanatory. Although I will do a video with more info on def files/footprints etc... at some point.
 
I guess I will be the first to ask a real question in this thread.

When making footprints for def files can you add all your footprints to the same file or do you need to make a separate def file for each one?

Ex.

I want to use these footprints

No, currently the def files only support 1 footprint. So you could just replicate it and create the same def file over and over and change the footprint in each one.
 
I purchased the product and am using it in conjunction with Scrapebox but have a question.

The pro for me was to just hit "Run Session" and the program just managed everything for me from proxy harvesting to check links. I would say it's helped to make me more efficient with my commenting projects, rather than to just babysit Scrapebox at every step. I personally love to use the SB addons though in conjunction with SJ.

Through some testing I originally did some direct keyword testing with some Web 2.0 link lists and those were fine so I loaded a success list for testing as well. Is SJ using the Slow Poster by default? I upped the connections to either High (25) or Max (50) and ran it against a 135k success list from a previous SB blast and I'm about 18 hours into the project having attempted to post to about 50k sites (so it's halfway through).

I'm also continuously checking on StopForumSpam to see if my IP is coming up and so far it hasn't (when it has with SB blasts before) but it might be too early to tell. Staying off any sort of blacklist is important to me after previously being on them while I was in the email marketing business.

What are the email addresses SJ is using to make the comments? I didn't have to fill anything out when creating the profile which I thought was odd.

No, slow poster is only 1 connection at a time, SJ uses the equivalent of fast poster. I assume the speed difference is that SJ uses (in comparison with scrapebox) the learning mode addon. Where as scrapebox fast poster uses pre defined definitions for each platform.

So with SJ it has to analyze the page, pull up all def files and compare and then select the right one to use, when your posting to a current list. So it could be potentially slower by doing that then being limited to only the predefined files in scrapebox fast poster.

It is using generated emails, just like if you use the name and email generation tool in scrapebox.

Backlinks saved are real live backlinks checked with something similar to "link checker" in scrapebox?

Why are two sets of keywords, urls and comments? I mean one in main screen and another in "edit profile" screen? Can this be different and which one is used when commenting?

What are real numbers behing low-medium-high-max values for connections? Most private proxies have limits for number of connections, this is why I'm asking.

Correct, Scrapejet has its own built in link checker.

They are the same thing. When you create the profile in the main window, it saves the keywords/urls. When you load that profile you can then later edit those keywords/urls. When you hit update profile when editing, it overwrites the original keywords/urls that were assigned to that profile.

Low - 5
Medium - 10
High - 25
Max - 50

Sounds nice, like a little cute robot. I think I found my new toy for this Christmas :)
If you can, put a good word for an option to use a separate list with private proxies only for posting. I think nobody wants to burn their private proxies with scraping.

I only use private proxies and think its pointless not to. Why would I try to use public proxies, if you set your connections right you can scrape from the engines forever with private proxies. I have scraped over 50 Million urls in a run I have going on right now from google, with only 38 private proxies.

Not using private proxies for scraping is a common misconception, you just have to do it right. Keep your connections at 20% or less of your proxies and you can pretty much scrape forever. Its faster then dealing with checking public proxies and then dealing with all the failure rates and low speed.

Even if you get your private proxies blocked, in a matter of hours they will be unblocked again. You can't really "burn" them persay, when you go posting google never sees the IP that you post from only the blog admin sees it. So there is no connection.

I would go as far as to say that if you have private proxies, your shorting yourself by not using them to scrape, you already pay for them, get their use out of them. Its been many months since I have used public proxies for anything. I fail to see the point in not using your private proxies.

Just my 2 cents.


Also there is no token use, such as %Blogtitle% in scrapejet. Sweetfunny emailed me back.
 
It does look interesting. I'll consider buying it when it's officially released and has a sales thread in the items for sale section.
