I just received an email from Adsense notifying me they disabled ads on one of my websites. They said its for "scraped content", which is completely true. I have about 35,000 dollars still on the account waiting to be paid out. Half of it will be deposited in 4 or 5 days. The other half in December. I plan on disabling every single adsense ad on every one of my websites, then start looking for new ways to monetize. It would suck to lose out on the money.

I guess my question is, will they still ban me if I'm not even running ads from them anymore?

Thanks

You have 35K in your adsense account? Is that monthly earnings or did you just accumulate that? That's crazy man.

Im curious too!

But yeah if after the notification you stopped displaying ads I cannot see them suspending the account.

I think they wont ban you. But i would disable it too just in case.. ;)

Very interesting situation did you try to contact them about it ?

16K from last month and 19K from this month so far. The money won't matter though if the account gets banned.

It's 2013, why are people still fucking with AdSense?

Also - they pass scraped site news over to the Algo/Panda brigade on a regular basis.

True unless you're talking about Google News (cough, cough). Do as I say, not as I do is Google logic.

If it's true get the money as fast as you can and if you could.

Follow the rules and stop crapping, with all your money why should you ever scrape or not read simple TOS.

Lastly, invest in other business model and build your business.

I read the TOS and knew exactly what I was doing. If you read the post you will notice I don't blame Google at all, so your lecture is just pointless. Plus, I'm not even banned lol, it's just a warning. I could still run the ads if I wanted to.

Lastly, why did I scape content even though I knew about Google's TOS? Probably because I made 35k in a month in a half.

You are fine as the content guidelines is unique content which you did not supply. Unless they receive a copyright infringement notice from the source the most they will do is disable ads on the site(s) in question. The traffic is valid, content is valid (although copied) so the clicks would be valid. Just listen to what they advise and cash your check on the 23rd :)

You never what's gonna happen with Adsense even if you are doing total legit stuff. That's their nature. Keep your fingers crossed...

Having an Adsense Account 101

Rule #1 : Don't left that much $$ in your adsense account, cash it out monthly.

I don't see a reason why someone would just leave money in their account. All the money pending on my account was made last month and this month, so I wasn't holding any money over.

Thanks, I'll just cross my fingers nobody sends a notice. They shouldn't send it to Adsnese now anyways since they're no longer featured on any of my sites.

I don't think you can "leave money in your Adsense account".

They send it when it is due to be sent and that's it

Good luck OP, let us know if you get it - as it was just a warning I think you'll be OK
