I just received an email from Adsense notifying me they disabled ads on one of my websites. They said its for "scraped content", which is completely true. I have about 35,000 dollars still on the account waiting to be paid out. Half of it will be deposited in 4 or 5 days. The other half in December. I plan on disabling every single adsense ad on every one of my websites, then start looking for new ways to monetize. It would suck to lose out on the money.

I guess my question is, will they still ban me if I'm not even running ads from them anymore?

    Thanks

You have 35K in your adsense account? Is that monthly earnings or did you just accumulate that? That's crazy man.

    Im curious too!

But yeah if after the notification you stopped displaying ads I cannot see them suspending the account.

16K from last month and 19K from this month so far. The money won't matter though if the account gets banned.

I can appeal, but I really don't want anymore attention from them. I won't win it anyways.

True you won't win. Took me 184 days to get 50% of what the bastards owed me in 2009
Also - they pass scraped site news over to the Algo/Panda brigade on a regular basis. Don't rely on Google for traffic when they "Panda-ify" them.

Still makes me mad to think about it now? I didn't get the other 50% and the adwords buyers didn't get it back I'm assured. Google just f%c£ing well kept it and never gave a decent reason. That was about $25,000 in total.

What a great scheme that is - just wait till someone does something really well - claim they are breaking some rule (no proof required - and even if their was you happen to be judge, jury and executioner - not to mention legislature as well) - and take half their profit without rhyme or reason.

Glad I ditched adsense years ago. The profit is far higher in product sales anyway if you know what you're doing

True unless you're talking about Google News (cough, cough). Do as I say, not as I do is Google logic.

    Nice earnings :)

I'm at £30 per day and can't wait to get to those kinds of figures.

Out of interest was your scraped content site themed as a news site? as surely a news rss feed site would be ok for scraped content?

Did you not try using scraped spun content before?

If it's true get the money as fast as you can and if you could.

Follow the rules and stop crapping, with all your money why should you ever scrape or not read simple TOS.

Lastly, invest in other business model and build your business.

I read the TOS and knew exactly what I was doing. If you read the post you will notice I don't blame Google at all, so your lecture is just pointless. Plus, I'm not even banned lol, it's just a warning. I could still run the ads if I wanted to.

Lastly, why did I scape content even though I knew about Google's TOS? Probably because I made 35k in a month in a half.

You are fine as the content guidelines is unique content which you did not supply. Unless they receive a copyright infringement notice from the source the most they will do is disable ads on the site(s) in question. The traffic is valid, content is valid (although copied) so the clicks would be valid. Just listen to what they advise and cash your check on the 23rd :)

You never what's gonna happen with Adsense even if you are doing total legit stuff. That's their nature. Keep your fingers crossed...

I don't see a reason why someone would just leave money in their account. All the money pending on my account was made last month and this month, so I wasn't holding any money over.

Thanks, I'll just cross my fingers nobody sends a notice. They shouldn't send it to Adsnese now anyways since they're no longer featured on any of my sites.

I don't think you can "leave money in your Adsense account".

They send it when it is due to be sent and that's it

Good luck OP, let us know if you get it - as it was just a warning I think you'll be OK
