Scrapebox why do i need to use proxies

I have just purchased scrapebox watched the videos provided, but i cannot see why i need to use proxies, what are the importance of proxies?

I can see that on the video he could use a private proxy, but the server that i have installed scrapebox on does has 5 public ip addresses which could be alternated.

I could also setup a proxy server if needs be where the dsl connection is a dynamic ip eg the router is rebooted and it is assigned a new ip address, thus the proxy server behind would be running on a new ip.

Any suggestions welcome

You need them for scraping or google blocks you. Other than that, I don't use them. I don't see a point in using them on autoapprove lists.

So just need a free proxy list for scraping the info on blogs, pagerank etc, but for posting comments do bother with a proxy?

Your ISP will get complaints of spams. I know because squidproxy had to move my ip block due to spams

Ok so maybe best to use proxies to protect me from complaints with my isp, thanks.

On another front, looking at leaving comments, i do see a lot of very poor comments left on blogs, my own are no exception but i have to approve comments before they appear on the blog. So when creating a comment to leave on blogs, would it be better to leave a paragraph of a comment with
A something that approves or suggests that you like the article
B a little something about where you are leaving the link to
Basically trying to make it look like a personalised comment or natural
with at least some content that relates to the link

You can scrape with no proxies, if you mark only Yahoo.

The Yahoo scraping thing doesn't work anymore. They ban you after a few scrapes now too.
