Im getting this error everytime i try to check any domain availability, it happens on 100% on the domains checked (not low succesfull percentage, just no succesfull checks at all).

Did it happen before to anyone? im using Google DNS and OpenDNS (default ones) and also default whois servers.

Edit: No firewalls going on

Are you using the latest version of Scrapebox?

And are you using the domain availability checker that is under the grab/check function, the one called check unregistered domains?

Or are you using some other function?

The more details the better.

Hello,

I am using the latest version of ScrapeBox: 2.0.0114, and im in fact using the the domain availability checker (Check unregistered domains) that is under the Grab/Check function.

It just goes to "Error Connection timed" on every domain.

The whole scrapebox configuration is set to defaults (new installation)

Thanks you so much

It also happens that when I track a site with Rank Tracker (plugin) it spends time loading the results but then it shows no results. Some times, if I do it several times, it shows results for 1-2 of the keywords but the rest are missing, however if I try to check again they all go blank.

I have tested with free proxys, also with paid proxys from StormProxies and MyPRivateProxy, and all of them do the same.

I'll attach some files with the errors and also with some settings (i have tried several different settings based on what I could read on different sites, but they all work the same way). By the way, it is ScrapeBox 64 bits running under Windows 10.

Thanks!

Have you also tried without proxies?

Yes, results are the same in both Rank Tracker and domain checker. I do have 13MB download since im using a PLC, but I dont think it matters since it scraps for keywords very nicely.

I am currently using rotating proxys form StormProxies that I found out here on this forum.

In the ScrapeBox folder is a folder "ErrorLogs". Inside this folder should be a file "domainlookup.log". Can you PM me this file? If the file is NOT there, make sure to enable in the ScrapeBox menu Settings->Preferences the logging of errors.

I sent it to you! Again, thanks. I'll also publish it here, since its very short:

16/08/2019 23:19:59: SOCKET: Connection timed out, URL: blackhatworld.com
16/08/2019 23:19:59: SOCKET: Connection timed out, URL: yahoo.com
16/08/2019 23:19:59: SOCKET: Connection timed out, URL: google.es

The log goes all way long with the same error with every domain, to be honest there is no much relevant info to grab out of it.

That definitely looks like something is blocking the connections.
What DNS server are listed under DNS Setup?
Are you using an IPV6 connection?

Thank you again.

The DNS are those that come by default:

8.8.8.8 ;Google DNS Server #1
8.8.4.4 ;Google DNS Server #2
208.67.222.222 ;OpenDNS Server #1
208.67.220.220 ;OpenDNS Server #2

And I am using ipv4 connection, unless somehow scrapebox selects ipv6 by default, however the "ipv6 support" is disabled in the "other" tab of Connection settings.

The timeout is set to 30 seconds for DNS lookup. I assume it timeout quickly for you, way below the 30 seconds, right? If that is the case, make sure no firewall blocks it (also Window firewall).
For a test, try just 8.8.8.8, and if that timeout, only 208.67.222.222. Its difficult to debug because its an isolated case. We have no other report of this behavior.

It takes its time to show up the connection error, so I assume its just running multiple connections at the time and thats why all three domains are showing up the error at the same second. I did try the DNS change but still didnt work, I did also try to swap my license to a different computer but it behaves exactly the same, both in rank tracker and domain checker, so i'll assume there is something wrong with my ISP or something like that, I dont think there is much we can do about this, after trying different computers and making sure there's no firewalls around. Anyways thank you so much for your time

I was able to find Rank Tracker by just adding more proxy retries, it comes to 1 by default and I just set it up to 10, which works fine now. Only domain availability checker left to go!

Thank you so much for your help softtouch, I think the next thing im gonna try is to share phone internet connection to see if the problem is on my ISP or router. I'll let you know. Again, thank you so much for your time.

Unfortunately, domain checker cannot process domains working with a proxy.

What would be the reason for that?

I use SB on several machines but don't know why that would be the case.

I got some good news! Domain checker works hell good and fast if I share internet connection from my phone to my computer instead of using my ISP. We found out that the problem is somewhere on my router, now I have to figure out which port is using and open it. I'll assume its using 53 as stated on your last post? Again, thank you so much for your help and time.

Good to hear that! Yes, we use DNS port 53.
