scrapebox raping my new laptop

i have sb on 4 computers 2 laptops and 2 desktops
it runs fine on my computers with xp and 2g ram at 50%

on my newest win7 laptop with dual core 4g ram its maxing out and the computer gets so hot it shuts down or the monitor shuts off. 100%

not really sure what could be the issue.
the laptop is twice the computer the others are and its getting plenty of air.
running 2, 3, 4 times as hard doing the same work.

any ideas? searched and didnt find same issues. thanks

They reckon (them that know), that it takes hundreds of hours of use for the thermal compound between the heatskink and the CPU to bed in and start operating efficiently.

I recently bought a new overclocked desktop, and kept an eye on the core temps with something called 'cpu temp,' (just search) which was recommended by pc pro.

When I first started it was overheating within about 2 mins, but over the last month, it's gradually settled down, and now doesn't overheat at all on 100% load (generated using something called PRIME95, again found via the pc pro testing recommendations).

OMG I'm becoming a techy....

I don't know about the compound between the heatsink and CPU for new systems. I'm just curious if you have contacted SB support regarding your issue?

funnily enough my puter automatically rebooted 2 times this morning running only SB missions.

I gave SB a rest for a few hours and it performed normally after that. In fact it's 500000 through a 708000 mission now.

You could have three problems :

1. Your processor heats too much ( because the anti-heat paste is not properly applied)
2. You have a virus
3. Your scrapebox can be bugged and cause the processor to stall at 100% ( which I haven't heard to happen at anyone )

its NOT a virus. not a chance.
where scrapebox reports the usage of your computer at the bottom,
the older xp shows CPU usage at ~2% and my win7 at 98 to 100%.
This is when i do about anything ie: post a small run 20 at a time, harvest, check links, etc.

i dropped my checked links down to 3...3! and the computer is running 100%
(but is still moving, not pausing and hanging)
this laptop never gets hot and push it. i run sick and 2 other programs and it doesnt get hot.
this has something to do with sb software/computer

What are you doing with that many copies of SB? Are you a blasting machine or what?

because i live in the fqn country and all i can get is "3mb" dsl.
so i had them put in 3 dsl lines/accounts since its so damn slow.
all 3 lines are slower than one cable. takes forever
