Is it just me or has the link checker become awful slow? When I left home 3 hours ago, I started the link checker. Now I'm back and it only managed to check about 9000 url's in those 3 hours. That's with 80 connections and 90 seconds timeout.
Come on it will take me until 2020 to check this list of 100.000 url's if it goes on like this. I somehow doubt this is working as intended.
I'm running it on a VPS with 2 GB RAM and a 100 mbit connection, do you think that is not enough RAM?
Any ideas how to improve it?

Check the task manager. I am pretty sure your VPS is fast enough.

Link checker has been slow for me as well. It starts out fast then slows down. I have like 1500 working proxies too.

Plus, have you tried the backlink checker? IT IS SLOW AS BALLS. It took 1.5 days just to check 20k URLs and download 5k. I couldn't wait for it to download all 20k, at the rate it was going it would've taken a week!

I am also having problems with the Scrapebox link checker. My proxies are all good premium proxies though and it is slow as well without using proxies anyway...

Yeah i've been having the same problem...did you get onto support? I sent them an email earlier...just waiting for a reply.

i think might be something wrong with scrapbox as i am too having the same problem..it is really very slow..

Sorry I was a bit busy. Did anyone of you guys wrote to their customer support and got an answer? I just mailed them, let's wait and see if it's a known issue.

Link checker was not modified. What I can think of is, you now have a new executable (scrapebox.exe), with a different checksum, so your AV/Firewall will kick in and keep on scanning it, and the connections it establish, which cause a slowdown.

Far too slow to use, Don't even bother.

You seem not to read what I just posted above.
Every time there is a new executable, your AV will start scanning it and your firewall will monitor it, because its an unknown exe due to a different checksum. This will slow down the program.
So, before posting nonsense, think first a little about it.
Btw, the link checker WAS NOT modified at all, its the same source code as it was before... so...

i started using SB and thought that link checker was this steady. now you guys say taht it should be faster makes me sad on how i am content with my steady link checker.:(

lol o well its still a good tool

Link checker checks for me 437 urls/minute on a 10mbps home connection, just tested.

Thanks for your answer. I just tested it with AV and Firewall disabled, but it's still extremly slow.
Maybe it's the url's I'm scanning? I can imagine if they are already highly spammed, it takes Scrapebox longer to scan them. Am I right with that assumption?

Indeed, thats possible. If you see some BE blogs, they are hundreds of KB in size... you can if you want forward your url list to support, so we can analyze them and can give you some feedback.

I see that it slowed down for me as well. It checks about 60 url/sec. Terrible.
I'm on a VPS and few days ago things went real fast.

I've stopped the antivirus and no improvement.

Any fix on this.

Appreciated.

It's possible it's the line itself.Isp's are always adjusting bandwidth,I find sometimes it's quick sometimes it's not.
I put it down to isp not scrapebox,I'd also say heavily spammed pages will take longer because scrapebox has to check every outbound url.
Try it at different times of the day to see if it is an isp issue.
If you're using a vps, there will be several users doing the same at once.

I'm running now =ScrapeBox Link Checker Free Edition 1.4.0.0= and it seems it's much faster than the Link Checker from ScrapeBox.

i have my own scrapebox but honestly i dont use link checker anymore. coz its buggy making freeze cpu.

free edition is faster and working smooth. use free one.
