Nothing personal, you just came off as attacking scrapebox. I would gladly stand up and defend scrapebox to anyone. Given that I have received 30+ times the value of what I paid for it, and the value continues to grow every day and every update, I have a great sense of loyalty to both scrapebox and the scrapebox developer. I have even in vested a decent ammount of my own time into trying to help people here in the forums as well as making a few videos and I have a list of more I plan to do.
Anyway, I can appreciate you thread for what it is, however it would have saved a lot of trouble if you would have stated it differently then what you did.
MORE IMPORTANTLY: I am not sure where you are from, but I am from the USA. In the US we have a great deal of trouble with people try counterfeit money. I know of a guy who got a job working for the Treasury, working with counterfeit money.
The Treasury keeps all counterfeit bills on file and has quite a lot of them. He assumed that he would spend a great deal of time studying the counterfeits as his job was to deal with them. However they put him through a rigorous course on actual US money. When he questioned it they simply told him that the best way to tell a fake bill is to know exactly what a real one looks like.
To that end it would benefit you more to spend your time and resources on learning how to properly use scrapebox, rather then how to not.
For what its worth, I think OBSERVER has actually created a valuable thread for SB owner/users and unless im very much mistaken, all hes trying to do is get other SB users to share their battle tales specifically about what went wrong and why it went wrong, IF anything ever went wrong.
We've all seen what this software can do and how quickly it does it. Remember the first time you saw the promo video for it? Gave you a bit of a hard on didnt it? Yep, thought so. Me too. You wouldnt be hetro otherwise.
But thats not the issue, the issue here as LOOPLINE pointed out, is that people are killers, not guns. Well its the same with SB but in reverse - i.e some new users are going to blast the sh1t out of it and get their sites royally fcukd when there was no need if a thread like this could have given them a heads up about what NOT to do before they went and did it so spectacularly wrong.
Its a bit of a cliche to say that men dont read instructions when they unpack a self assembly piece of furniture, but broadly speaking, even though its a cliche its not inaccurate.
Getting a sore thumb because youve used a club hammer to build a flatpack wardrobe instead of using a delicate panel hammer on it is a painful experience but its not terminal. It just serves you right for not reading the 6 pages of instructions that came in the box.
However, you cant use the same analogy for SB because whilst its true that In the right hands, SB is a lethal assassin, its also true that in the wrong hands, this software is the equivalent of a suicide bomber.
Wading through a near 7,000 comment thread on the subject of all things SB, isnt the same as breezing through a 6 page self assembly furniture instruction book and aint that the truth.
Isnt this thread of OBSERVER's just about helping us all keep the body count down and our websites up?
ps - good SB training videos that youve made there LOOPLINE, kudos for the effort.
