You just need to learn how to use Scrapebox man.
Your problem is user error. 500 comments isn't anything at all unless they were all like PR4 and higher sites.
With scrapebox, always shoot higher. If you want 3k backlinks, successfully post to like 10k or more. Depending on your comments, proxy solution, ect. you will see results.
I did a run a day or two ago, my successful post count was just over 35k.

I usually gather a couple of thousand urls and then run a PR check on them. Anything that is PR3 or above I save out and comment manually. A lot of times you can find auto approve blogs where they are captcha protected and SB would have missed them.
Most high PR blogs are captcha protected so by posting manually and then pinging the page you are making the search engines aware of the link straight away.

Will do thanks for the suggestion but was hoping for a simpler explanation and yeah maybe ,thinking of taking it to turk menistan
BTW OP I bought SB 2 weeks ago and now have it setup on a VPS , my suggestion is stop looking at SB as just a automated comment spammer it has tons of other awesome features , like finding high PR sites in your niche ,u will need to make high quality comments on these sites manually so that they are relevant to the topic and they stick.
