[Scrapebox] Does google perma ban proxies that get blacklisted often?

When I use scrapebox to check the PR of harvested URLs, all my proxies get blacklisted after roughly 7000 results (I only have 5 proxies, I don't want to use public ones). Scrapebox reports "Dead Proxy".

The obvious thing to do would be to either get more proxies, or split my list every 7000 URLs and only check one list per hour (or however long google blacklists IP addresses, haven't checked).

But what if I don't want to do that. What if I just monitor scrapebox and hit "stop" the moment scrapebox reports "Dead Proxy". The only reason not to do this, is if google permanently bans multiple-offenders. Is this the case?

It's not Google but Akismet in WordPress, that works in conjunction with Spamhaus, that designates the comments as spam thereby creating the resulting IP ban. I believe once that IP gets caught the ban is on. I would be interested in comments from others.

I'm not talking about commenting, I'm talking about getting pageranks. This has nothing to do with wordpress / akismet. Only google is involved.

Afaik it's temp.

Yes, but what if an IP address gets temp banned 10 times? Or 200 times? Isn't google eventually gonna get fed up with that IP getting temp. blacklisted over and over again and decide to perma ban it?

You really should be using public proxies for your PR checks. Why burn up your private proxies for this? While I do not know for sure I would assume that if an IP gets blocked too many times Google will burn it permanently.

No proxies are not permanent ban. Only temporary. As others said you should use public proxies for PR checks.. When you get a lot of DEAD PROXY mesages simply scrape again for new proxies.

For checking PR is not need to untick Ignore Google box in PRoxy harvester..it works only with IP checkings so you may get enough proxies to do the checkings. At least I do ;)

While I do not believe Google will issue a permanent IP ban, the length of the ban can fluctuate. When an IP is temporarily blocked, it usually only lasts between 20-60 minutes. Should the IP continue to ping Google's servers during that time, the block will be continuously extended. You can see the problems this creates with Shared/Public proxies.
