Scrapebox Best Practices - Enough is Enough!

The reason I'm posting this is for a few reasons:

1. I'm getting too many of the same PMs and emails about SB, and I bet I'm not the only one.

2. I'm seeing way too many of the same questions being asked, about SB.

3. I'm seeing too many people abusing the software mindlessly.

SB is a fucking great tool. It has to be one the best BH tools that has come out in a very long time IMHO, and is one of my personal favs.

However, SB - like every other tool - is not some magical thing that will start spitting out money for you after you buy it.

I say this all the time, and it's only because people need to hear it - a tool is only as good as the person that is using it.

So if you are not familiar with how this type of tool works and how to use it properly, then for god's sake don't just start blasting away like an idiot because it won't get you anywhere.

In fact, you will probably get your site(s) and/or IP banned.

Ok. Now that the lecture is over, here are a list of things you must do in order to be successful with SB. All of the complaints from people getting banned or having low success rates usually can be traced back to them not doing one or more of the following things from the list below.

1. Invest in some good proxies. If you have the money, use it and get private proxies since they are much more effective than shared. If not, you must get a nice list of shared proxies at the very least.

2. Post decent comments. It's not that hard if you take an extra 5 mins just to see what other people's approved comments are like and then base your comments off of that. The main point is if you want to be successful, then you need to put in a little extra effort.

3. Create multiple versions of your comments. I usually create 5-10 unique versions right off the bat, and then use software to spin those. At the very least, write one unique version and spin the hell out of it.

4. Do not use this on your money site(s). If you get banned, there goes your cash flow. Nuff said.

5. Do not use it constantly on the same domain(s). This will stand out and is most likely to get your domain banned. Especially if you are blasting a single or even just a couple of the same domains in a short time frame.

6. Space out your submissions. Don't just try to blast out 1,000 comments in an hour. If you spread them out, it works a hell of a lot better.

7. Use buffer sites. This not only will protect your money site, but it also allows you spread out your submissions across many different properties.

8. Use multiple names/emails. If you are blasting with the same few names and/or emails, you will get caught eventually.

That's all I could think of right now, but I will be sure to add more as they come to me.

I also would like to invite anyone that is either knowledgeable on how to use SB and/or is getting good results to add their input as well.

SB is such a powerful tool, but if you abuse it mindlessly, it's like sticking a spotlight on yourself.

Somebody needed to write this post, thanks for writing it, hopefully it'll prevent a load of people from posting asking SB questions.

I'd also like to add that SB is a tool - a great one - but a tool.

You cannot expect it to be 100% all the time.

That goes for any software.

The best way to ensure you get the best results you can is by taking the time to use the software wisely(for those that know how), or taking the time to learn how to use it correctly before using it.

Buffer sites are sites you use to protect your money site.

Free web 2.0 properties work great for this.

I just can't understand how this thing can get your site banned. So if I put google.com and blast the shit out of it, will google get banned? Its a fuckin myth...one way link will not get your site banned cause google understand that any person in the world can spam in the name of other website without the permission of the webmaster.

I am using scrapebox too..almost everyday, and when i am lazy (most of the time) i just blast my whitehat sites (pr3 and pr2) without even think about the comment and all that crap. How do I know it works? I am using seo elite to check my sites' serp. So whenever they all dropped in ranking..i mean below 1000, i just blast them with scrapebox (lazy version kind of blast) and the next morning, those sites show up again in better rankings...(1-500 range) and i did this many times with the same comments. The only thing i did was put more variation on the anchor text.

It's not a myth. If you blatantly are spamming your domain URL and get caught and reported, then most likely your domain will get blacklisted.

No, google would not get banned because 1. google is not dumb enough to pull a stunt like that and 2. a quick IP check would show you are not actually google.

that is partly why you haven't seen many of my decent cracks and patches released recently because the n00bs just fuck everything right up for everyone else.

oh and just for the record ScrapeBox is a fucking awesome little tool, so good that I actually paid for multiple licenses of it because for the price it just rocks and for that reason alone its not even worth spending the time to crack it.

Some good points in this post. I would also suggest possibly using the ping feature to your few quality posts that you have posted (ovbiously after using the link checker feature). Also, when i use it, I only post on sites that have PR1 and up - just a small obsession of knowing they have at least 1 website pointing to them.

If anyone know how to find a way to filter the sites to see if they are **************** or nofollow or neither, PLEASE - PM me or post here. I would love to figure that one out.

Because you say you read some of the comments to get an idea of what to write, but the problem with that is that when you end up with 1k plus URL's many of them are barely related to what you're spamming. It'd be pointless going through them 1 by 1 to make sure, so the secret here would be to write something so general but believable enough that it gets accepted at most URLs.

But how do you do that? The more general the less relevant and often more spammy looking. The more specific the more likely that it'll be flagged as spam at a ton of blogs where it has nothing to do with the OP.

Also do you ever include a link in the comment or just in the site portion?

and #9 Use sweetfunny's backlink checker to find the ones that auto approve and make a list of them to use on your money site (dont have to use them on money site, but it will be safer It will give you some links if you scape the domain to use a lot of though)

You don't have to go through every single one 1 by 1. If you take a few minutes and glance over them, you can get an idea of what to base a few of your comments off of.

Writing general comments that stick is not as hard as you think. It just takes a little bit of work and time to get used to it.

Remember it's all about flying below the radar.

As Yukinari says, this is a fucking great tool, but like any tool it can be used intelligently, or it can be used to puke all over the internet. Take some time to learn it.

Can't be bothered to read the entire original BST thread that is full of tips and info about SB? You're overlooking a great - and free - resource. And in many instances lately, the questions that are being asked have been answered previously. There's a great community of ScrapeBox users here who can offer help but, frankly, it gets tiresome to type the same response for the 3rd...or 4th...or 5th time....

Haven't looked at the official and unofficial user guides? You're a fool. The unofficial guide summarizes some of the most useful info from roughly the first 30-40 pages worth of the BST thread.

Haven't watched Frankie's videos on youtube? Will be the best 90 minutes of viewing you can get for the price. Get yourself some popcorn, watch, and learn.

One last bit of free advice - harvest your URL's, then take some time to clean them up before you blast. Run the Alive check - will save you bandwidth and cycles rather than trying to post to dead blogs. Then run the PR and Alexa Rank checks - cull your list accordingly. Use the other tools @ your disposal to further refine your list of targets.

SB is a great tool at a ridiculously low price. But the most important tool each of us possesses is our own brain, and the degree of our willingness to use it.

Great post, I agree Scrapebox rules but there have been a lot of posts by people with no idea recently. I would like to add my 2c as well:

• Check the PR before you spam and remove blogs with no PR, theres just no point.
• As Yukinari said use "buffer" sites. However I wouldnt recommend Squidoo for excessive spamming as they are very strict, use them but dont abuse.
