Don't need to die, there are other platforms as well for paid marketing like Google, Instagram, Snapchat, Tiktok, etc.
 
Can't imagine when FB became like that. For me, right now, FB is still so profitable. There are many way you can monetize on them
 
If Facebook can no longer make money from advertising, it will restructure, downsize, and pivot to more potentially profitable areas.

there are a lot of platforms being used and being developed as we speak. there are countless possibilities especially with how fast technology advances, the question would be how fast are you to adapt as well?
 
If Facebook stops making money and advertising becomes too expensive, its employees will be forced to change direction: either restructure to develop new products/services, or leave for other tech companies, startups, or start their own businesses.

  • If ads become too expensive and businesses stop buying, or users leave, the revenue model would collapse.
  • This could happen due to:
    • Mass migration to TikTok, YouTube, other platforms
    • Global regulations that limit ad targeting severely
    • AI tools replacing Meta’s ad targeting advantage
    • Economic downturns shrinking ad budgets

So yes — it’s unlikely but not impossible. If this happens, Meta would face a fundamental shift.

I think the staff will have to disband if the staff is not strong enough to maintain and find a new direction for their staff.
 
Everyone use these social media, if you are looking to advertise, fb and insta is your only option. Don't be the last to take advantage of this social media to improve your business.
 
It's true that FB is getting harder and harder, but nothing is impossible. Every platform needs to develop and make money for customers to sustain.
 
I felt the same until I switched niches and focused on Reels. The CPMs dropped significantly when I moved from generic e-commerce to niche hobbies. Have you tested vertical video with educational content? That's what finally worked for me
