Hey guys,
Before I start, I've only been doing this for the last few days and already "acquired" some nice groups for my niche.
Disclaimer: if you don't like it, don't use it. Not for everyone. See post #5 on this thread for my original method.
What I've been trying to do is dominate EVERY result on the first page of Google for my keywords. This only really works in low competition niches, but don't doubt how powerful the traffic can be. Facebook groups tend to rank well for long-tail keywords and obviously have member base that can be exploited.
This only works with the "old" group style, but you'll find a lot of old, established groups with members that still get traffic (mainly from search engines) that are ripe for exploiting.
The obvious way to get hold of the group in your niche would be email the owner and ask to buy it. Or make a better group yourself. I'm lazy and don't want to be spending on stuff like that so I thought I'd scare them and get it free
First up, setup a profile with a hot girl, this will make your job easier further down the line. In the profile, add that you are a lawyer etc and make it look legit.
Then what you want to do is write a press release. This should be related to your niche that the group is in. It needs to basically say that a "high school kid who setup group in [your niche] was recently kicked out of school after being reported by [company in your niche] for copyright infringement [make up something scary]." Basically make out that whatever group they have made is illegal or some shit like that. Obviously you need it to sound official and believable, and it will work better for some niches than others.
Release the press release. I use PRlog, but anything will do.
A few days later, use your hot lawyer profile to message everyone who has setup one of these groups.
Send them a nice short message, something like this:
Hi,
My name is X and I am the legal representative of company Y. I'm sure you've read the news, but recently someone similar to yourself got in trouble over a Facebook group like yours [link to press release].
In order to avoid any legal issues, we kindly ask for you to transfer ownership of this group. You can transfer this group to myself and it will then be passed on to company Y. [Link to FB help article on transferring groups].
If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
Kind Regards,
X
Now obviously I've just written that really quickly, but I'm sure you can think of a better way to word it. Some niches will work better than others, and also be aware that this is quite BH so not for the faint hearted.
I haven't given you my exact method, but this is pretty much it. Twist it, and soon you should have total niche domination on Facebook. You can censor your competitors sites by policing all links posted, and spam your site to your group.
Why just rank your money site for your keyword when you can have the whole first page?
Enjoy!
