Hi, just curious about everyone's experience with scammers here. Many people I've spoken with request to be paid in advance in crypto, which is totally fine, however I can't help but feel it's super risky. I have been looking at the account age and level of the person I'm buying from but I'm just wondering what other stories people have of getting scammed on BHW.

This is how I'm doing it too.

With anyone of color light blue and above - I wouldn't think twice about giving them to hold my wallet. I guess there are some exceptions now and then( I think Sartre was light blue? ) but I think it's incredibly rare.

This week alone I got scammed for like $350 from BHW and that's on me because I like to trust people and honestly, I will still keep doing that because those times when the trust given comes back is way more valuable than money spent to feed the scammer.

If I would need to spend $1k, then some due diligence is a must for sure, to check reviews, business history, overall public communication style. Because $1k isn't much in how valuable a well-built BHW profile can be.

for 5k worth of product? I would be careful and probably ask to go 50/50 or pay by milestones if that's my first time dealing with the seller.

That's such a good point. I know I've already gotten so much value out of just reading people's posts. This is one of the most generous forums I feel like still exist on the internet. And since most everyone here is pretty internet saavy it's not as easy to scam/not worth scamming here.

You can also check what they write.
One 5k posts guy can have short posts just to inflate their post counter. Another guy can have 5000 long posts.

Beside watching the feedback and effort of the seller, there is always the room for exit scam.

Take care of seller activity, see every thread reply, do not rely on reading free review copies, but search for at least 10 quality reviews.

Triple check if seller is active and chat with him from at least 2 accounts (not BHW) to see how he responds.

Try to lead him into scamming you. Always buy low. Never go for bulk, that's red flag.

If seller offers you bulk after 1st 2nd 3rd order, it means that you could be the one who will start his exit scam, if you buy.

Nothing is 100% safe, so act like that at every given moment.

Search seller info across the web of course.

You will get scammed if you are not really being careful. You should also check for past transactions if dealing with huge amount.

It would be best if BHW could provide escrow services. This can ensure the safety of both parties in the transaction.

I’ve never been scammed on BHW. I only buy from people with BST. If you’re buying out of the marketplace you should be good. Especially if they have a lot of reviews already.

Never been scammed on here, but I've heard of many who have.

Always look at the account age (this filters out a tiny portion of the scammers), past deals (filters out a big portion of scammers) and their bhw tags/history (also gets a big portion).

user @mehedi7707 is a scammer. I have evidence of the telegram chat - he has now listed a different telegram chat in his footer. He begs and hassles for money - asks for crypto to pay his hospital bills, will promise services but doesn't deliver them. Doesn't respond after money received. All the same old usual scam tactics. I fell for it. He gives his people and this platform a bad reputation.

99.999999% of the sellers in marketplace are craps. Total wastage of money. Get your butt moving and do your own SEO.

Talk to people
Talk to the seller
Listen to your gut
If things sounds too good to be true, who cares, don't risk it.

Never been scammed in BHW but i'm very selective who i get in bed with

So you tested 99% of the sellers?

If not your comment is without merit.

If you have been scammed please open a thread here - https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/dispute-resolution.31/

Randomly calling out someone on this site, without proof, is inappropriate and baseless.

my 2 cents.

1. Never do any business with any one except Jr.vips... membership is like $90/yearly, so you can calculate how much you can trust them... anything upto $50 would be fine.

2. Check if they are an active seller on market place, the more money they make on BHW the less likely they do a scam... the threshold go up.

3. Check if they are listed in a shit list thread. Some may try to save their account by giving back the money they owe, some may try to scam as many people as possible before they being kicked out of forum.
