Scammed by redstone.1337 for 225$

Hello, here we go :

I requested ( and paid for ) 150 texts of 250 words each from the seller.

I have worked with them before, and had no problems. The price they gave me was 225$ for the work I asked.

The work took WAY too long to be delivered, as you will see on the Skype logs, and on top of that, wasn't actually delivered in whole at all. I only received 20 texts which were not up to par in quality and I asked for a refund from the seller for the remaining ones that haven't been yet delivered to me.

Seller suggested to let them know what to change and after a period of no skype chat at all ( personal issues ), I got back with them and offered to change the subject of the texts in which they agreed.

After that, no response whatsoever even after a Skype message and an active Paypal case which is now a dispute ( I can provide screenshots or anything else needed to prove it. )

I am asking the seller to refund me 195$ from the 225% I gave them, for the articles they never delivered.

I have checked the email address of the paypal account, on Facebook, and it seems to belong to an Indian girl/woman which is actually very active in her posts ( last activity was a couple of hours ago and she has everyday posts etc )

I reckon, after she or however is behind the BHW account does not bother to answer on Skype and/or on Paypal, I needed to open this.

ANY information needed by the mods/admins here will be given if/when asked, if they find it necessary for the better resolution of the case.

The Skype log below has my skype alias changed to my BHW username, and website links/niches and emails etc changed.

Most of them are not that good. If the writer hasn't done any more work I would like to have a refund for the remaining texts. I don't want to be refunded for the 20 texts that you gave me because I'll edit them and use them.

Also, they're delivered very late and I was expecting more than just 20 texts. So I would like a refund for the remaining articles that haven't been delivered yet.

Still no response from the seller. Paypal dispute is still on and no news from them.

Update :

I contacted the person who has the FB account with the same email as the Paypal I paid the money to.

She told me she's not the one receiving the money and directed me to the person that allegedly is using her email to do the job, so I contacted him directly via FB asking for a solution to the issue.

Will update with any news as soon as I have something.

Alleged seller contacted me on facebook telling me a story about him going -2K on Paypa due to people receiving his services and then filing disputes/chargebacks.

He doesn't have the money, from what he says, but he offered to deliver articles worth 195$.

He also stated he abandoned BHW because of this situation.

I don't know ( and don't care to be honest ) if he's saying the truth. I'll get back to him and update this post, trying to figure out how to either get the work I paid for or the money I gave to him.

Hello, I sent them to your email.

Still no response from the seller, even after responding to him on FB, as seen on the screenshots I provided to BassTrackerBoats.

Will send him one final message during the day and then wait for Paypal and/or my credit card company to see if I can reclaim the money.

That was the main reason I didn't hesitate to order for such a big amount of work and pay for it at once.

If he's saying the truth about scammers asking for refunds/chargebacks then I'm sorry for him as well, but I shoudn't be ripped off of my money as well just because of this situation.

Yeah, if he didn't have much money or he was recovering from numerous refunds/chargebacks, the least he could've done was agree to a repayment plan (e.g., $75/month).

Plus interest, of course.

I do think he was a genuine victim judging by his own feedback etc

Yes, it was unfortunate.

I didn't really question the veracity of his story, but rather why he didn't at least try to set up a payment plan with the OP. Then again, I doubt he considered that as an option.

I like your idea of someone setting up a payment plan; in this situation it may not have worked I do not think as I know he has been scammed for a few grand and was digging himself out of that and that is large money for him.

Economics in different parts of the world dictate that a few grand in one area is not that much yet in other regions it could be 6 months of income.

But had he not said that he was bailing on BHW it may have been a viable road to go down. I'm glad you mentioned that as that may be a possible way to resolve some future SL threads.

I was not thrilled to ban him as I've known him for 5 years or so and he has been a positive influence here and an all around decent guy and not too long ago I had some conversations with him about another issue and could see his frustrations in those convos.
