Scammed by a Freelancer

Hey,

I was working with a freelancer on freelancer.com for 8+ months , the account had many positive reviews with big price tags.

The project he worked on was with milestones and delivery of the source code at the end. We never had an issue, communication was good.

I found out that few days ago his profile got deleted by Freelancer. I asked the support and they told me that its the Employers responsibility and they cant do anything about it.

The project was not completed.

he also didnt reply back to me on Skype.

How do i proceed? I just want the source code of the latest milestone.

Charge back on your card.

Call the bank or paypal, which whatever you load funds with.

you're not scammed by a freelancer you scammed from freelancer dot com , it happened and to me 3 times after i end the project account deleted and when i asked what he did they said we can not tell you it was top secret , they have people to post fake projects and taking the money of new freelancers that they don't know anything , they are so rigged man don't take them serious you will waste your time , before a week i put a dispute on a guy that asked me to do different things than the project and they let them leave a review on me negative 1 star , i put the dispute and they let him leave me a review . they are so rigged

I want to get the source code, not the money.

The payments were long time ago , not sure if possible to chargeback

Try to be connect with him through his phone number or any other messengers, may be he is stuck somewhere or anything. If still not getting any response after 15-20 days then you make a dispute through paypal. As paypal allowed 180 days of dispute.

Then only you can do is keep in touch and try if he is online and able to response you.
