Scammed $4500 on flippa What should I do

I agree! It's the only way...and I feel your pain, I've purchased a lot of sites and in the beginning got tricked too, happens to the best of us. Reply to my PM

Forget PayPal or Flippa to help you, just ask your bank/credit card issuer to chargeback the payment.. I was scammed as well on Flippa in past and PayPal told me the same thing "digital blah blah shit".. trust me, this is your only option and it works 100%.

If you paid with your bank you'll get your money back just do a chargeback if you paid with paypal monkeys you are F U C K E D.

Am one of those people that thought I can't be scam I have been working Really hard in the past to make money I saw a site on flippa I though wow it's the site is making over 1k and it's Real the seller asked me to send half payment first when he set up Everything then I send the Rest it took me 8 days to make decition to trust him as he has sold over 40 sites all good Ratings he send the site files after I send him the money and shortly and then the domain was listed on Sedo for sell he stopes replying my email I did a charge back explaining everything to paypal but it looks like he will win as am not covers by paypal policy because it's Digital Omg what should I do ?

You shouldn't be buying sites if you don't know how to deal with this kind of thing. You should always research EVERYTHING.

But yeah, only thing you can do is to reverse the payment via your bank and then paypal will put a negative balance on the SELLERS account. Simple...

If you can figure out a way to make $12.32 a day, you'll earn back $4500 in a year. Probably your best option right now.

Also, don't forget the tax write-off.

Still not sharing the Flippa user?

At the very least, you could stop someone else here being scammed by him :)

Good luck with getting your money back!

Sorry man, I hope you'll figure out how to get your money back. At least you can start threat him for the money but listen these guys here they gave you very good advices. Good luck

Contact your bank and flippa immediately and report them the issue. Plus also report to sedo about this fraud.

I have Emailed the mods with his suspected username here will post here once it is confirm as am not fully sure but the is some possible linkage to the flippa Account

Hey Bestcreaters,

Sorry to hear about your loss. Have you heard back from PayPal? I just got scammed off of Flippa too. I went to Flippa and they just turned the other cheek. They even removed the negative feedback I left for the seller, but won't remove what the seller left for me! I only lost out on $150, but Flippa not giving a d*mn only fueled the flames. I started #FlippaScams on Twitter to call them out publicly! I really, really feel for you.

Anyways, I used electronic check transfer - not sure if that's the same as putting money in a PayPal account. Can you do charge backs when using electronic check?

This is probably unethical, but I thought about telling PayPal that it was an unauthorized charge since I've always use CCs - and never e-transfer. I'm sure a shady scammer won't mind that a buyer plays their game... Anyone have any thoughts?

Just create a Paypal dispute in the admin panel without calling they will suspend his Paypal and he will be sol until he pays it back bam!

Ok here is another thing you can do and I have done this too...when I got scammed once..it took about 6 months to get my money back though..

File a complaint against flipa to the better business bureau

File a complaint to the FTC.

Put the guy in rip off report.

The above happened when I got scammed yet again for just a few bucks I still paypal disputed...he was suppose to supply a service which was never done....and kept blowing me off.

I did not call paypal though I did it via the admin panel.

Call the bank and report it a fraud because that is exactly what it is.

No one has a few grand to be tossing around and giving away for free! We all hate scamers and I would personally out his name right here for being as such theres a reason why some of the nice folks here asked for his name "hint hint".

He will never give back the money willingly it won't happen so go full force on this SOB...and do not stop until his reputation is burnt and you got your money back..period.

Never use flippa again. That's my advice.

That's like saying , stop driving because you might meet with an accident. Precautions need to be taken everywhere. Here the buyer didn't do the due Diligence properly and ofcourse did not go for Escrow so chances of getting scammed was higher.

i am sorry u lost i been scammed like this before, but do not let such thing let u down

Gotta be careful with Flippa it's so easy to get scammed (or scam) on that site. I see idiots buying worthless crappy sites everyday.

Don't buy anything unless u know what your doing. ANd when you do buy make sure you go through the right buying process.

call PayPal and explain what happed. Their rules are actually opposite of what people here have said. They do not protect sellers of digital goods. so if you charge back you get the money back.

I know this because I used to sell a lot of digital goods, and I was constant scammed (about 1 in 10) who charged back and I could do nothing about.

You should get the money back. If you talk to a human you will have a better chance of getting it back faster
