I am surprised that they even still try this, but even more surprised that people still fall for it. Desperation I guess. Sign of the times.
Unfortunately, people fall for these kinds of scams every day.
A former coworker of mine got something like this, and totally fell for it. Supposedly a relative of her's (who she had never met) died and willed her the equivalent of 10 mill USD if British Pounds. The catch was, she had to open a "bank account" in the UK, with a $2000 deposit, so they could deposit the 10 mill into the account.
Well, she fell for it and lost 2 grand. Goes to show how gullible people can be.
