Sandboxed for months - what should I do?

Just a thought and perhaps a ridiculuos one (so apologies in advance). The weekend blip you see are you checking rankings on your home PC (potentially signed into gmail or with web history enabled) and the other rankings when you check at work (and hence not signed in to gmail).

Larry.

I thought about it, but I usually check my rank with G Ad Preview tool and one Monday when I came in to work at about 9 am my website is on page on, one hour later - 74th page... Very, very strange. In the meantime I found two new domain names that have my keyword in the URL and I'll do two more websites in the same niche and leave the original one to mature for a while... Out of three, I am bound to strike gold with G with at least one :D

I have been dealing with the same issue from one of my sites. Very competitive keyword, it hasn't made it to G yet but it will go from page one of Y and B to no where with 2 hours bursts. This has been happening for 5 days now and prior to that it was holding steady at mid page 1 results for multiple keywords and was very profitable (3k a month average). I would usually see brief drops on link campaigns but never anything like this. Hoping it comes back strong as I saw it return today at even higher ranking but then went back into space.

The drama continues - I don't want to jinx it, but I am back on page 1, traffic going through the roof - I am just praying that whoever keeps pulling a plug on my site called in sick today :p .

you do know there's no such thing as sandbox. your just dancing. And when u backlink your site and it doens't move that's when u wonder.

=)

The plot thickens - Monday morning, like a clockwork, my site disappeared from SERPS altogether. It is not deindexed, site:www.mydomain.com still shows all my subpages and home page and if I G00g1e "my domain name" I am still on the first page, but not for any keywords I ranked before or my domain name without "".
I have not done any spammy SB, AMR or Xrumer blasts, I acquired (wink wink) a few (maybe 10-15) sidebar and footer d00fo##ow links. I installed Clickbump SEO and uploaded some images with my keyword in alt tag and increased the keyword density from 1.8-2% to 3-3.5% on most subpages and home page. I also done a 100% manual (I did it myself) randomly interlinked mininet with 6 web 2.0 and linked it to one of the subpages. I then propped the mininet with about 10 AMR articles per day for the last week and some articles have already been blasted with SB. So, a textbook linkbuilding and onsite SEO optimisation. Result: website gone from SERPS altogether (i.e. some subpages still show up on the last page of SERPS, my main domain gone). Am I doing something wrong?

There is someone in here who have a service where he guarantee that he can get people out of G's sandbox. Try to search for his service on BHW.

Thanks, I have just read this guy's thread and it would appear that I am penalized, as opposed to sandboxed - when I g00g1e www.mydomain.com (without "site:") I am number one... Do penalties go away (expire) after a certain period of time or is it forever? Will it go away without submitting a reconsideration request? Can I just wait it out?

no, you don't get sandboxed! just google Dance. i've experienced worse scenario. my site is injected with malware and gone in G. normal daily UV from 1500 to 30. however, i still kept building backlinks with SB blast everyday. My site is back in business after 3 weeks gone in G and come back stronger than ever.

Just a quick update on the situation - I hope tracking it will help other people in their efforts. Funny thing is happening with my website - every other weekend, on Saturday morning, my website emerges from the sandbox and appears on 1st page of G, usually around 5-7th position for an extremely profitable keyword and remains there. Then, on Monday morning, about 9-10 am UK time (GMT) it disappears again. This has happened over three of the last four weekends. It would appear as if a filter/penalty was expiring (if that's even possible) on Saturday and then on Monday morning someone comes into the office (G has offices in Dublin, Ireland, same time zone as London) and manually pushes the site back into the sandbox. Could be just a coincidence, but it happened 3 times already - out of the sandbox on Saturday morning, good position over the entire weekend and then Monday morning - a slap... Has anyone else experienced a similar phenomenon?

That is my situation exactly. Every weekend on Sat and Sun comes back. Monday morning gone. Bout every two weeks. WTF?

The whole "i check my site at home over the weekend and i'm back" thing wreaks of personalized search phenomenon. Use a rank checker tool instead of manually checking your rankings if you don't know how to turn off personalized search.

Otherwise, if this is really happening outside of personalized search, then maybe your site is being manually reviewed for suspicious activity. But usually when you violate TOS you simply get de-indexed.

I did the same thing as you to a 2 week old site,I wrote an article in AMR with NO spin put html in the body and submitted it and then re-submitted it to the failed directories(for having html in body) also did a senuke blast from fiverr. Now this site was on the first page anyway ,it disappeared quick after that.hell I wrote a thread panicking lol (never had the google dance) WHAM 2nd top with 2 pages from site on the first page e.g I have position 2,3,4.I left the site for dead to be honest.I personally wouldn't do an xrumer blast on such a young site, but I have used xrumer blasts on fiverr on old domains successfully without issue. An xrumer blast is an xrumer blast wether it costs you $5 or 20.There are fiverr sellers who are here thats where I got the xrumer blast from and it was top class.

I have a "sandboxed" site and i got back to the first place of google with blasting backlinks like crazy, so i would say blast away :D

I had the same problem with one of my site. On weekends, it is on the first page, but when mondays come, it is not even in the top 500. I am baffled by it too. Not sure why it is only ranking for the weekends.

You aren't in the sandbox, just keeep building natural links. If it sandboxing a site was as easy as running an Xrumer blast, then I would just do it to my competitors to make sure I stay up top. Sandboxing also has a lot to do with a site's content as it does the links behind it.
