I have a website I try to rank for a very competitive keyword. Unfortunately, I made a few costly mistakes :(. Number one: I ordered an 5000 xrumer blast directly on my money site when it was less than one month old - I guess this was the first nail into my coffin. Website never really ranked for any keyword, despite the product section being 100% unique description content written by me and a lot of article marketing and about 20-30 web 2.0 properties randomly interlinked, then propped up with even more articles and SB blasts. I can only guess the reason for the sandbox is the 5000 profile links xrumer blast I bought on fiverr... Apart from a product page section the website also has blog-like articles about the niche - every blog post is unique, written by myslef, linking to authority websites, contains photos etc and is then submitted to bookmarking sites via Magic Submitter.

To my surprise, it came out of the sandbox about a month ago and gravitated about 1-2 page for extremly profitable and competitive keywords for about two weeks before I shot myself in the foot again: AMR blast with an unspinned article linking directly to the money site. Immediate result: from 1-2 page to the last (LITERALLY LAST) or second to last position on the last page within hours, where it now stays.

Now, what should I do resurrect it:
    1. Abandon it and build another website (lot of hard work down the drain, lot of unique handwritten content wasted)
    2. Ask G to reconsider and attract even more attention to myself and other websites in my G webma$t3r account - they will say "remove spammy links", which is probably impossible now...
    3. Keep building backlinks - just keep my fingers crossed and hope it will be back again. Maybe order some direct high PR backlinks? But what if I get in even deeper shit for buying BLs?

It has not been deindexed, bots visit the website several times a day, I do get some traffic from other search engines. Just the big G gave me a big slap - any ideas?

Respin the content and create new, less spammy links over time? Jeez, that sounds painful doesn't it? Did you look at the download about getting out of the Google sandbox? I haven't read it myself but who knows?

First of all, don't ever, ever, ever buy stuff from fiverr and blast your money site with it.

If you want to buy some valuable links, search the bst section on this forum. Mainly look for the ones with many posts. You can not buy value for $5, period.

Now, for the part with the sandbox. The sandbox effect usually lasts for 6 months. what you have to do here is: The first months, buy some high quality content links and a nice juicy linkwheel. Social bookmark your linkwheel properties and blast them with a few comments, never the money site!
Build about 5k total links (directory submissions, press release submissions and article submissions), then leave things as they are for the next months and don't build anymore links.

You should be out of the sandbox in no time. ;)

Additionally, you can add some High Page Rank links from Blogs / CMS sites like Drupal, with the main anchors you want to rank for.

Just dig deep, and try to find some good ones with less then 30 Outbound Links.

If you find a do follow site, which has a lot of backlinks, do a site: search with ScrapeBox to find the unspammed pages.

These links will help you rank for the search-term, but it won't give your whole site rankings. You will only rank for what you build backlinks for.

In order to get your whole site ranking, with less affords, you need to build trust. Google has lost the trust to your site, at least that's how I interpret these things, from what I have learned.

Yeah, I agree, I learned it the hard way, that was a BIIIIIIG mistake, will never do it again... That's what probably sandboxed the site in the first place and now it is on G's spam radar I can probably get away with much less than a website that built links gradually and never been sandboxed...

The best way to resurrect your site is to create anchor text links through sites that is fairly trusted by Google. You can start by writing 3 articles per week and submit to to EZA. than after that post it to goarticles and squidoo.

Manual blog comment is very helpful too.

That's probably exactly what happened - got flagged as spam straight away and even if I now do something others would get away with, I might get slapped again. That's why I wanted to share my experience - the more we learn as a community the easier it will be for others to avoid mistakes like that...

You said six months - I know it's hard to give any concrete info on this, as only G knows exactly what their algo is, but do you think it would be 6 months since it was FIRST sandboxed, or 6 months since it came out of the sandbox and got slapped again?

I would hate to lose this site, as the URL is really, really good and in my niche it is extremly difficult to get a good URL with keywords in it on top level domain...

Yes, and I think that the same thing also happens, when one directly spammes a site with ScrapeBox Blog comments in mass, not only with xRumer profiles. You just HAVE to use a buffer site, otherwise you need to go the full BlackHat route and spam day by day, to gain a little bit.

Agreed you are in 'Google Dance' since you created tons of new links quickly and Google needs to reevaluate your site and you will come back stronger.

I had a similar problem (though with a 3 year old site with zero backlinks) and blasted with low quality links. It went as high as no.5 for my keyword and then disappeared to 500+. I then bought high PR backlinks and it went even higher to 800+ LOL. i left it for a couple of weeks and it has come back and settled at no.8 spot now and slowly rising.

Just a quick update on the situation - I hope tracking it will help other people in their efforts. Funny thing is happening with my website - every other weekend, on Saturday morning, my website emerges from the sandbox and appears on 1st page of G, usually around 5-7th position for an extremely profitable keyword and remains there. Then, on Monday morning, about 9-10 am UK time (GMT) it disappears again. This has happened over three of the last four weekends. It would appear as if a filter/penalty was expiring (if that's even possible) on Saturday and then on Monday morning someone comes into the office (G has offices in Dublin, Ireland, same time zone as London) and manually pushes the site back into the sandbox. Could be just a coincidence, but it happened 3 times already - out of the sandbox on Saturday morning, good position over the entire weekend and then Monday morning - a slap... Has anyone else experienced a similar phenomenon?

Currently, for the same keyword, my website is on the LAST position on the LAST (74th) page for that keyword. Am I really that bad? The keyword is related to an extremely competitive niche - I checked links of every website on 1 and 2 page in G ad they are all doing article blasts, profile links, blog commenting, web 2.0 linkwheels, buying high PR links etc - everyone. Some websites show 30k+ links in Yah00 - nearly all of them are spam. I don't have anything dodgy on my website - no hidden text, no iframes, no redirects - my onsite SEO is as whitehat as can be. But I am still on the last page and last position, which leads me to believe that out of hundreds of websites competing for goods SERPS I am THE WORST OFFENDER - funny, cause the amount of spamming I did pales in comparison with websites that actually are on the 1st page for that (and related) keyword...

Just a thought and perhaps a ridiculuos one (so apologies in advance). The weekend blip you see are you checking rankings on your home PC (potentially signed into gmail or with web history enabled) and the other rankings when you check at work (and hence not signed in to gmail).

Wanted to reply to your thread op but the users here are amazing!
All I have to add is buy some HIGH real pr backlinks, PR 3+ because I noticed google loves them with a background of 800+ links.
Respining the content and modifing the postion of anchor text should do it!
