I just came across an article on arstechnica.com saying that Samsung could drop Google Gemini AI in favor of Perplexity AI for its upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup.

This could be major shake up in the AI assistant game, especially since Google has been tightly integrated into samsung's ecosystem for years. According to the report, Samsung has been testing perplexity internally and might push it as the Default AI tool in some regions if things go well.

Do you think Perplexity can really compete with Google Gemini on a flagship device like the S26?

If Samsung chooses Perplexity over Gemini, it shows they’re exploring faster, search-focused AI. Perplexity could compete if it delivers a smooth, smart experience on the S26.

Kinda surprised they dropped Gemini that fast. Perplexity must be doing something right, probably the real-time info edge. AI tools are moving so quick lately, hard to keep up
