If you are creating the two pages for the same product to put under two different categories then yes it will be duplicate content. In this case you can use the canonical tag to direct the right page to show in the search engine.
If you are just using the same product page URL and assigning them two different categories then it won't be duplicate content as the canonical URL will be same. Hope it is helpful.

You can use a cannonical tags. Same product could go different categories. No problem with that.

If your product page is single meaning that the URL is the same, no need to worry. But if you have created two identical product pages with different URLs, this is duplication.
