Same link Different Anchor text

I saw a few high ranking websites, on checking their backlinks profile, I saw many Web 2.0s which had the same link on different anchor texts, on the same page.
What do you think about this?
I'll explain this with an example.
Say there's a page www.abc.com/digital-marketing.
Now, the guy creates a web2.0 on WordPress and puts this link on the Anchor Text,

How do you think this will impact his SEO? Have you tried this or seen this before?

Its always a good practice to diversify your anchor texts. Some also add brand names and naked urls to the mix.

If your anchor text is something like "best x in city y" (say your main keyword) and its the same across majority of your backlinks. Thats unnatural and theres a 99% G will issue a penalty.

Most of the Webmasters are checking the Keyword competition first,
Because term of "Keyword Competition" is playing major role in the SEO.
If you choosing the perfect keyword, It's definitely help to increase your search volume

Yes, it does help with diversifying anchor text.

Having varied anchor from a new, unique referring domain will count for more though.
