So after a full year of only having one client and honing my SEO and PPC skills for them I am finally confident to go out and look for new business. Fortunately my good friend already pays a guy $450 for just Facebook and Twitter. We somehow got on topic about SEO and I explained to him what I do on the side since he only knows my main career. Regardless, I explained to him that he is wasting his money with this guy because he's advertising to his friends (because everyone that likes his business FB page and follows his business Twitter are his friends, me included.) and none of us are ever going to use his commercial brokerage company. Plus the guy he hired doesn't even promote his listings, he just shares boring commercial real estate articles. Either way, FB&T are never going to give him the return on his $450 that could be spent elsewhere.
That being said, he wants me to come give a small presentation to him and his partner. The business is definitely mine, the price wont be full retail because he is a really good friend and I'm ok with that.
In regards to this presentation, what do you guys do? Do you do powerpoint? Put together a hard copy presentation?
I don't want to fully bore these guys with internet stats. We're all in our early 30's and we all understand the power of Google and having a presence on the net that is successful. His website ranks for NO keywords and I dont think its even indexed. No sitemap, horrible META etc. They always compare themselves to this other company in the industry and their site is exactly where my friend needs to get to.
I was thinking of showing him comparisons within Traffic Travis of his site vs his competitor, all the errors in the build of his site via a meta tag analyzer (which do you guys use?), recommending a small redesign of his site to put emphasis on his real estate listings, and also using one of my free $100 coupons to show them the power of adwords using my current client's statistics and how I consistently get them 10-12 new patients a month with a very reasonable budget.
What do you guys include in your presentations to pitch to a client? What programs to you use?
Please feel free to add ANYTHING.
