It's 5.30 am and I'm here just to rant about my client who I just acquired a few weeks back.

Right now I feel so depressed and sad because I thought this client is my ticket to recurring projects and avoiding the headache of finding new clients. Sadly, he hasn't responded to me in a while...

He was paying me a few weeks back which made me trust him. This is the second payment and he should be paying me for the woksw that I've done for him.

I don't know what to do anymore, I feel unmotivated and falling into a deepest hole. IveI been working as a freelancer for 3 years now, and I'm tired as fuck.

Even with a full time job, it won't guarantee security for me and it even will take a lot more freedom for me. I just wish to turn back time and become a government servant as it's a much more easier life.

I wish someone could just find me clients and I don't mind splitting the pay. I'm just too tired to handle this crap anymore...

I've been burned too my man.

That's why the holla is always upfront, i don't give a shit if your grandma has cancer, if you're my fucking sister or whatever the fuck.

MONEY UPFRONT PLEASE :)

Sometimes I do get a deposit. But usually they pay me afterwards. I got fucked real bad this time coz I trust him too much.

What's your service anyway?

I had some problems with payments too, even from some well-known people on this forum that I though I had a good relationship with on Skype.

At the end of the day you will always need to take care of business for yourself first and then others ;)

Sh*t happens bro, between It's 3:30 AM here.

I'm going to do that next time. Right now I'm in a hole to find new clients and I just wish that someone would help me getting them... I've tried ads before but I'm just wasting money since I'm no good at it.

I wonder if there is a service industry that could come out of these kinds of situations.

Seller buys Non-payment Insurance|Charge back insurance with the premium tied to the type of service offered, the history of the seller and some sort of actuarial table related to the buyer as an IM client.

Seller provides product/service and the seller bails and the seller still gets a % of the sale price from the insurance company.

You would need a pretty large pool and the insurance company may have to jump through some regulatory hoops as well as have some deep pockets but that could be an idea for someone.

Insurance companies make huge bank. Ask Mr. Buffet and his buddies.

PayPal should go to that direction but nope.

Btw, I'm not doing an IM service. I'm more inclined towards the service industry specifically 3D modeling for architecture

I totally understand you. The ironic part is that I get PM from people asking me to mentor them for a X amount of % of the earnings. And I don't blame them because I thought like this too in the beginning but it's just not how IM world works.

Don't wish for anyone that will come and save your ass, although some very rare people have that luck but don't ever count on it!!

Always count on the fact that you will need to take care of business on your own! With that attitude you will never be disappointed!!!

I always hoped someone come save me but I don't have a dad, I don't have a mother, no brothers and no sisters! No-one ever came to save me. Don't ever expect that anyone will save you even though you will see that shit in your surroundings, you will need to build on yourself and if you get any help that is great but if you don't you are prepared! ;)

Happens with all
One of my client is hanging my payment from the last.
Keep home keep moving.
I know how it feels.

Let me add my dime.
Never ever expect clients bring you new clients or recurring projects. Maybe I am wrong... but I have never faced that before.

In the UK, if you're dealing with UK based clients you have a safe guard that the legal system and small claims court is good.
You're also able to charge interest on overdue money.
Once you get a good relationship with a client you can consider letting them have credit terms, but to do this you need to offer 2 price bands.

£100 for pro-forma payment or £150 for payment on completion ( as an example ). Buyers who are costs wary will often choose the discoounted price model to save money.

Just wondering if I can get someone from the UK to be a partner to get projects there...

You could always say im in the middle of something here on your site and if i dont finish it, its gonna be very bad for your rankings. Im not gonna finish it until you pay me.

We've all been through this. Just accept the fact, and move on. Dont waste anymore time on that client.
