Running SB 24/7

When you guys say "get a VPS"...what exactly does that entail? Are you talking about using it as remote desktop or something? I really am interested since I have a fair access policy on my internet connection, and would like to look into a solution like that.

Also..could you use a VPS to browse the web?

Yeah, when you use a VPS with or as a remote desktop however you wanna call it, its just like having another pc you can run SB,XRumer,YTA,UTorrent,Chrome,etc etc etc
 
I highly do not recommend having SB on 24/7. I've had a bad experience with leaving it on overnight. I got a virus on one of the sites which my AV blocked yet my ISP (rogers) picked it up and blocked me internet access for 24 hours and warned me that the next time they see a virus originating from my I.P. they're gonna block me for a week.

Imagine, a week with out internet, without BHW... I was pretty pissed since they don't seem to realize that AV takes out the virus once they see it and not when I ask the AV to.

Anyway, the point is using a vps will be better. A lot of links actually have viruses, so just a heads up.
 
hi op, I suggest you to get VPS only $35/mo in xsserver.eu With using VPS, you won't get any Virus issue.
It's not so effective if you're using your laptop, the memory is gone for those softwares (AMR,SB,etc) and you browse internet very slowly. Get VPS, install 2 or 3 SB on that VPS, run them 24/7 and you won't get any trouble.

Thing is, the $35 package is no longer available.

Any idea if it's possible to run Xrumer and 2 instances of SB on that kind of vps?
 
@procmail: LOL! you haven't checked the site yet and you said $35 no longer available. If yes, I've to keep it for my self and sell you for $100/month (easy $65 profit/month)

choose windows vps. you can get even only $15/mo. but the $35 is the fair one to use SB,amr,senuke
 
People in this thread suggested running several copies of SB in the VPS? Is that even allowed by the SB creator? Will the SB people ban your usage for doing that.

No. Why would they? You can run copies of the same license on the same box or server. I have multiple licenses so sometimes I have as many as twelve or more copies running and it is all A-OK with SB.

I forget now how many copies you can run on a single box but I normally run four per license so I have to keep my computers really cool! Not yet resorting to ice packs but that could happen! ;)

its allowed on single pc.you can run as many copies as your pc/laptop can support.

Woah, that is odd. I did the same thing you mentioned, prior to my posting my earlier reply, and they said out of stock.

But I just did the same thing now and it's available.
 
A note about using VPS/Dedi vs. home comp: if you have unlimited bandwidth you really shouldn't get in trouble for using a lot of bandwidth, if they call you just say you watch a lot of HD youtube videos :) Also, people aren't mentioning the fact that VPS will submit MUCH faster. More submits with less time between them = red flag for smart SE algorithms like big G, Y, etc.
 
Well now I don't know whether to go with hellomotow07's VPS which is $50 plus VAT, or xsserver which is just $35. Considering I already have two SB licenses and TBS, and don't us senuke, I guess it would make sense to go with xsserver.

I also hear about people running sb and xr 24/7 and i am confused. What about when your projects end or things stop running and need your input?

Also what about when the proxies go bad, how do you do this in hands off method?
