I bought a laptop today, dedicated to running SB and other software since my PC is too noisy to leave on overnight.
I've got some mega SB lists that I'll probably be blasting to 24/7. My first question, is would this cause any bandwidth issues? I'm in the UK, using Virgin broadband. I'm pretty sure in the small print regarding unlimited downloads it says something about a fair usage policy. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to bandwidth, and I have no idea how much I will use by running SB pretty much constantly. I don't wanna get my internet cut off for the rest of my family.
The second question is, is there any harm in leaving my laptop on 24/7? I'm pretty sure in the long term it will do some harm, but I don't want my laptop to burn out within a month. Any suggestions on this? Is there any software which minimizes processes, or should I get a cooler?
