So i have some long videos on my facebook page ranges from 15 to 30 mins, and i want to promote them with facebook ads to get more subscribres for my page, i cant really run them into shorts because they are more like tutorial, is good idea to promote those videos this way?
Thank you.

For best results, you should cut your video as short as possible but still convey the intended message.

Long video ads are not effective for pulling in leads, you should cut the markup short to run the ad and use the long video for nurturing retargeting.

yes,So you can advertise them on Facebook reels

Running long video ads is often expensive and has poor retention, so you should use a short video as bait, then lead interested people to the full video.

Thanks for sharing. You can absolutely run ads for long videos. To be effective, make sure the beginning of the video is engaging (the first 3–5 seconds are crucial). Run ads with the video view objective. Then, check your ad metrics and target high viewability audiences, and run page referral ads alongside to get people to follow that page. As long as the content is quality and on target, long videos will still be effective. Good luck!

Promoting longer tutorials can work if your target audience is genuinely interested in the content. You might get better results by creating shorter teaser clips as ads and linking people to the full video. That way you grab attention quickly while still showcasing the full tutorial for those who want more.

The video is long so you need to shorten it so that the status is displayed as a short video.

Yes, you can promote long videos, but keep in mind most people on Facebook don’t watch ads that long. A good approach is to use shorter highlight clips or teasers as the ad, then drive viewers to the full 15-30 minute video on your page. This way you attract subscribers without losing attention early.

I think running long videos (15–30 mins) on Facebook can work, but it depends on your goals.

I once boosted a 15-min tutorial and noticed reach was fine, but engagement dropped sharply after 7 minutes.

If you’re running ads specifically to grow your page subscribers, stick to short, attention-grabbing videos (15–30 seconds) and test variations. Longer videos are better for storytelling or retargeting after people already know you.

If it is a movie review video, the longer and more complete it is, the more people will like to watch it because it shows all the exciting details of the movie without losing the main idea.
But for tutorial videos, Facebook users will prefer short videos because they get to the point. Long tutorial videos make them tired and want to skip them because it takes a lot of time to watch
Please consider it carefully!

Long video ads are not effective at generating leads, people won't watch the ad for that long

short video will optimized your campaign. Use allway interest for 3-5 first second video

Unfortunately, just as others have said short form content is the way to go now for promotion. What you can try though is clipping your video in various segments all under a minute and then use hooks to pull interest.

It definitely makes sense that you’d want to get more eyes on the videos you’ve put time and effort into, especially if they’re tutorials meant to provide real value. Running ads directly on longer videos can work, but it’s worth keeping in mind how people usually behave on Facebook. Most users are scrolling quickly, and grabbing their attention for even a few minutes can be a challenge, let alone fifteen or thirty. That doesn’t mean it won’t work, it just means the way you set it up will matter a lot.
