Anyone can currently post a Hire a Freelancer thread. For the best results make sure you make it very clear what exactly it is you're looking for and what you are willing to pay to get the task completed. You MUST state a budget and/or wage in your thread (e.g., $30/hour for a wage, $1500 for a project).

Almost 90% people do not bother quoting the price when they post here. This thread was very much needed.

Absolutely not as that is responding to a HAF thread and often ends up with a ban of some sort and a warning.

I guess this means this rule will be more strictly enforced, which is great news. It really makes life easier for sellers.

We don't always see it though as most staff members do not get involved in HAF threads.

Just last week, I read the initial rule as posted by @Apricot and I noticed the rules were not being followed. It is good you mention this again and I will watch this space to remind anyone who breaks it

Very useful rule, this reminder should probably be a sticky. I think the ones posted by Apricot are already recognized as the norm, and should probably be updated / shortened or summarized in some way.
