We Import and Export a lot to the EU, they don't want to lose this trade and neither do we so there will be agreements. A lot of the negative forecasts came from traders and bankers and funnily enough they are the ones that seem to have lost out here but realistically why the fuck should we care whether they win or lose?

I found out yesterday that because the pound had dropped I gained a few hundred quid in my back pocket for nothing other than a change in currency, I don't do forex just that the dollars I have on hand are suddenly worth more, and that my mortgage rate is going to drop by around 1/3 to 1/4 by the end of the year. I call that a double brucey bonus for lil Jimmy right here.

If you look at what areas voted to leave and ignore Scotland and N.I the only place in England that wanted to stay was London because of the bankers and there dependence on the financial system. Well guess what, if they want to remain a competitive financial hub they will just have to have deals in place that maintains their position in the World's markets and you can bet your left nut they will do just that.

As I have said before this is a complicated matter and one that nobody really knows how it will pan out in the short term or long term, hell nobody even knows where everyone will stand by the end of next week, but people are resilient and businesses will not want to lose trade on either side of the channel so deals will get made and life will go on. Where one industry falls another will rise, that is how economies work.

If the pound tanks our exports will be stronger, if import tax has to increase because of poor trade deals then we will deal with the US, Japan, China etc a lot more and also local businesses may be able to compete better.

If the EU try to snub us and put some form of sanctions or oppressive deals our way it will limit member states from dealing with us which will affect their industries which could cause them to leave the EU and if a few more do it in the next few years it will crumble. Realistically I do not see this happening as despite what some politicians and EU acolytes are claiming is going to happen they will not force us out on our own.

Britain has the 5th largest economy in the World and second biggest in the EU after Germany, you think the EU is going to snub a country with an economy bigger than all but 1 of their member states out of spite? Just mull that over.

Shades of Donald Trump. The butt hurt is deep. The powers that be and their sycophants do not like to accept any position but their own. The low life's just don't know what is good for them.

The people have spoken. It seems like the primary issues are the bankers and money changers not wanting to loose power while the majority of people are tired of being held under thumb and being sold out. Moving beyond this, it seems that the people are fed up with immigration and want their country back.

The only harms, as have been spelled out already, will be to the politicians, bankers, and money changers.

No the butt hurt will start when people realise that leaving hasn't solved their problems lol
This was a kick to the teeth to the politicians but it doesn't actually solve anything.
In fact, immigration is going to rise because where other countries were protecting our borders they will now not stop anybody from trying to reach here.
The only reason for them to do so will be if they are paid, so we either continue to pay the EU for border protection or deal with the influx of immigrants on UK soil, refugee camps ahoy!
This was a complicated issue made simple by the likes of the Daily Mail/Daily Express to appeal to the right wing middle classes that all the UK's problems are caused by immigration and the EU.
It is clear that the uneducated voted leave because the issue was made simple for them, immigrants are ruining their life, leave the EU, problem solved.
The real problems are that the UK governments for the last 10-15 years have not been dealing with the issues that matter and have pandered to public opinion but not addressed the issues.
That isn't going to change whether we are in the EU or not.
The only true revolution is when people take direct action in the streets.

I LOL hard at remainders and EU fanboys calling the people for the Brexit uneducated, uninformed, xenofobos etc etc etc....

Like I said, "Shades of Donald Trump."

You are acting like Britain is not an Island surrounded by water with a 20 mile stretch of water to the closest country and a tunnel to that country. With only two points of access the UK does not need other countries to protect its borders from invasion. The UK is certainly having illegal immigration problems, but this is more due to France (an EU member) allowing the illegal emigration, and the problems with the EU articles that allow free travel and force countries to accept aliens that they may not want. Save that whole line of garbage that you are attempting to feed everyone, it simply is not true.

In the EU, the UK is one of the only functional military forces. Backup and assistance are not really needed as the UK can actually take care of itself when they are not busy begging the US to be their military. If the UK were to actually need military assistance, it would come from the US and not the Eu. The reasons are pretty simple and come down to the US military having a large presence in the UK, the lack of a functioning and effective military in the rest of the Eu., and the intelligence cooperation between the US and Britain.

People around the world are tired of being pawns of the wealthy and connected who think because of their wealth they have some divine providence to rule over those less well off than they. Do take the time to remember what happened to the Bourgeois and their sycophants in France. Those are the grounds being tread upon.

Being an American, I do not have a dog in the fight. Not having a dog to fight does not mean that I, or others, are blind. There are many similarities between the Brexit vote and what is occurring politically in my country. I do find it absolutely hilarious the connection between Brexit and BrexiTerminate.

How exactly is France allowing the illegal immigration when there are camps at Calais (The Calais Jungle). Why should they not now allow those people to travel to the UK?

@Asif, do you have to post everything in both posts? Can we not have 2 separate discussions?

Ultimately you are saying that the people that voted leave are stupid while those that voted stay are clever? Doesn't sound ignorant at all.

If you have not been to an area adversely affected by free travel then you cannot understand why they would vote that way.

I fully understand the thoughts on both sides of the campaign and can see that there are going to be positives and negatives in the short and long term and that neither you nor I knows how this will all play out in the end. There are some that will lose a lot (mostly the wealthy) and there will be some that gain from it but who will gain the most and who will lose the most is not known right now. Whether or not there will be a net gain or net loss is not known.

Anyone claiming it is outright good or outright bad for everyone proves their idiocy by claiming such.

Of course I understand WHY people voted that way. Unfortunately leave or remain wasn't the real issue. The issue was immigration and leaving the EU isn't going to miraculously solve that.
When an illegal immigrants arrives in the UK the first thing that is determined is if they are carrying a passport, if they are and they can prove that if they are returned to their home country they will be killed etc then they can claim asylum.
If they aren't carrying a passport and most ditch them or sell them on their journey to get here, then they can't be removed from the country. So on both counts they remain in the country, leaving the EU is NOT going to change that.
How can you remove somebody from the country if you don't know where to send them?

You have a computer. Take your blinders off and read other pages from the same searches that you are photo Shopping up to post to Imgur.

As far as people traveling. How many people fail to swim the English channel each year? Professional swimmers many of them. This means they would either have to be a very good swimmer, or that they would have to go through the tunnel. Britain already employs a security force on their side of the tunnel. That tunnel has a serious problem for an invading illegal alien - it only has one exit. This means aliens can be easily bottled up. France could let as many illegal emigrants into the tunnel as they chose. What are they going to do to let them out at the other end? Threaten the English with French food?

OK, so we round up the immigrants on our end, now what do we do with them? read my previous post

What I would do, or what you would do? I am a whole hell of a lot more direct than you. To save a country, I would not think twice about collapsing a tunnel. For those in the country, it is the Eu. articles that prevent deporting if they lack a passport. Leaving the Eu. would mean that the Eu. directives and articles no longer apply, so you ship them out. Since they would have had to have come through France, excluding visa over stayers, I would ship them to France.

That petition is rediculous. A democratic decision has been made. It's time to come together and move on. I get that remainers are angry. But really how many times should we retake the vote until you get your way.

Nice idea but obviously impractical and not going to happen. I think it is actually international Human Rights laws (United Nations) not EU law that would be left to deal with the issue.

At least 10% that voted leave, did so as a protest vote because they are sick of politicians, sick of the government and sick of what has happened to the country, so they wanted to send a message and give the Government a bloody nose BUT given the opportunity they would vote differently, as many have expressed on social media.

So you can see on that data that it was the pro brexit people that did all those searches, great... can you tell me how you got that data, i think all of us would love to know how you can see what these people voted for...

read the entire article instead of only the headline. it has the answers to your queries...

Assuming, just for arguments sake, that it is a United Nations Directive (The UN can make no law and anything the UN proposes must be ratified by the country the directive would take effect in), can you tell us just how many soldiers, warships, military aircraft, tanks, etc. the UN has? Last I knew they had none and rely on the US and Britain. Meaning in turn, that the UN is nothing but a useless debating group. The UN can do nothing, and would do nothing.

As far as collapsing a tunnel, it is eminently practical. It is also fairly easy to open once France takes more than lip service to the problem of illegal immigration and emigration. However, it will never reach the point that the tunnel has to be collapsed.
