So I go into one of the local casinos yesterday to test some roulette strategies I've been thinking about. I go from 60 bucks to 320 in 3 hours. Yes! I got it all figured out.
Then, I figure, I'll get 30 more dollars and then go get some grub. Yep. I get totally wiped out in the next 5 spins.
How shitty is that?
Anyone got any interesting gambling strategy they'd like to share? I went back today and blew another 80 bucks trying to get my money back.

First part to winning at gambling: Once you are up, pocket the money you started with and do not use it again.
 
Yeh and don't try and win your money back, its probably not going to happen.
 
I did the same thing a year or two back, I used the Martingale effect strategy where if you lose on your first bet you double it and when you win you win your money back plus the equal amount. The only downside to that is if you dont end up with the colour you want after a certain amount of spins you could lose a huge amount.
 
Give it up dude spend your time in places like this and you will win, gamble and lose simple stratagy but trust someone who's gambled and lost thousands just leave it alone its taken a lot of hard work online for me to get out of the shit I created for myself, I will never gamble again
 
I am a casino dealer here in Vegas. I am easily stuck 50K in the last 6-7 years trying different strategies. Simple answer, there is no strategy that works except have a fixed number in your head that you are satisfied winning and when you reach it, run away. Thats the only way to win. I tried every system in the book and 100 that I made up. Only way to win is to walk away when your up. Perfect example, last night guy buys in 100 bucks..10 minutes later he has 1,800. Winner after winner on the craps table. He walked up at the perfect time. I get tapped out for break, enjoy my 20 minutes off, come back to the stick from my break where I am running the game. First throw of the dice, 7 out line away..He walks away at that point. I say to my buddy dealing across the table..How did that guy end up?" he replies.."Stu-Gotz" So in 20 minutes while I was enjoying 2 smokes..this guy stayed and lost all 1,800 back plus his 100 dollar buy in. Gotta walk away fella's
 
Roulette = ball that spins around a wheel. I don't think much strategy is involved.
 
The strategy is in the system of betting you use to minimize your risk at the table. Not manipulating the outcome of the spin.

Same shit happened to me. Went to AC for a few hours, went up 2grand.. got greedy.. reached my peak and lost it all trying to double up back.

It's not mine, but are you familiar with the Martingale, it's one of the most basic strategy: "The idea is that by doubling your bet after a loss, you would always win enough to cover all past losses plus one unit. For example if a player starts at $1 and loses four bets in a row, winning on the fifth, he will have lost $1+$2+$4+$8 = $15 on the four losing bets and won $16 on the fifth bet. The losses were covered and he had a profit of $1."
It could work if you have enough capital and just in short period, keep in mind that always the bank wins in the long run!

I used to gamble up until 6 months ago.. on sports, poker, casino, whatever.. I was a loser at it and realized that. This is how I started doing CPA actually... I decided to use the money I was losing gambling and apply that to ppc and other marketing methods.. my thought was hell, if I lose it - no big deal. basically, its gambling, but with much better returns :)
 
well its normal. 1st time u go u always win at least for some time.

the only strategy that has worked for me:


when a casino installs new slot machines you always have a better chance of winning on the new machines becuase they want the winners to run and tell their friends, pull them in, then get sacked.

I keep up on my local casino and whenever I hear about new machines being installed I try my luck. I'm up about $80. not much but I literally leave when I win even if its only $10 or $20 bucks and if I have only been there 5 minutes.
 
I always assume Im going to lose when gambling and look at it as merely an entertainment expense... I just wanna have fun while im there.

If I have money in my pocket when I pass out drunk its just a bonus
