A few months ago I bought a few domain, a few WP plugins and tools and setup a few autoblogs using CB affiliate links in the copy as the money maker from the enterprise.

After following a great deal of information on BHW and a few other sources, I decided to cut my losses. If I remember correctly I was getting around 200 hops per day, but no impressions on the order page and certainly no sales..

Either way, what's done is done, it's always a valuable lesson.

Now it's 2012 and the rules are different. I'm more determined than before I want to be able to make, even if it's a couple of quid, from IM. I've got a few tools, 2 hosts (similar IPs on both unfortunately) a couple of quid in my back pocket and a few SEO tools, am willing to try more.

I've read quite a fee posts on here about how people go from nothing to something, but from my experience, they had help - usually more cash than they are letting on.

I'm quite an experienced IM, but can't seem to get it right in BW, so I'd love a few pointers if anyone can help.

Thanks

My best advice would be try one thing and stick to it, become an expert. Also there are some great guides on here and if you add your own twist (or even combine the best of two methods) and you'll make some money.

Also set yourself targets for each day, x amount of links, x amount of articles etc.

Good luck !

Just at first glance, it looks as if you may have been doing a lot of things right. How good were the sales pages of the products that you were promoting?

If you had success with what you were doing before, perhaps you should tweak and expand with some new products.

There are a lot of ways to make money. Organic traffic, generate traffic (facebook/twitter/social media), sell a service, build a product/service, etc.

Find your strengths and play on those.

Hi guys,
Thanks both for your responses. Unfortunately I'm not sure I can run the autoblogs anymore because I've got some other sites hosted on the same VPS, which share very similar IPs so no naughtiness can occur..

With the autoblogs I was using a tool to automatically put affil links for CB products behind keywords, for example it would make each reference of 'seo' to some sort of tool or another. I also had the affil links cloaked so that it would look as though the CB sales page (third party) was /seo (for example).

I could try again I suppose, but had quite a lot of failures with them but I do agree on becoming an expert in one thing.

Further to that, what might be a good idea is to buy some 'seo hosting', which as X different c class IPs per VPS. I'd possibly start off slow with about 5, which would mean the 5 would have to be ace and earn their money! (hosting costs!)

I think I may open a new thread for this project as it's getting interesting.. I've just opened an SEO Hosting account with Hostgator and have got 60 IPs from 5 classes. Beautiful!
