Ridiculous UK Fuel Prices

I was bitchin' to a friend of mine today about the fuel costs in Canada ($.75p/ litre). I guess I will shut up now.

I guess now is great time to revisit those water-for-gas products that were doing the rounds a couple years back. Anyone remember them?

In India, its $1.44 for Unleaded n $0.93 for diesel.....n the prices have been hiked 7 times in last 8 months

7 times is not equal to x multiply by 7. He means there had been price changes 7 times so far. Goverment has de-regulated the prices of petrol/diesel in India, so whenever the price increases in the world same would happen in India. This has been the case in UK from past many years. :P
God knows how many times the prices have been changed in UK. I can't remember the exact price but here are the taxes in UK on petrol.

I know it sucks that the prices are increasing for fuel but theres not really any point in complaining because it was always going to happen, and still will.

Oil prices are going to increase a lot over the next few years, so get over it!
 
Well i am in IM full time so petrol prices don't really effect me that much and the beach is 1km from my house and ASDA is a 10 min walk... and the offey is accross the road from
my house...so i'm sorted
 
Why are people in Cali getting fucked? Taxes?

It'd seem like the more inward it would be more expensive as it costs money to move gasoline. But it seems quite the opposite.
 
It's almost got to the point in the UK where I might just ditch the car and get a small bike instead. And my cars only a 1400cc, and does about 40mpg still get absolutely robbed every time i go to the petrol station!
 
same price here lol stupid e10 bio fuel shit but oh well there is always a way to rip ppl off.
 
Folks in the US complain about their prices, but they really have no idea that they are paying about 1/4-1/2 what most of the western world pays. And so they happily drive their gas-guzzlers. On the other hand, folks in Europe perhaps don't understand the lack of public transport in the US, the huge distances, and the suburban-commuter culture that grew up with the interstates.

The cheapest I ever saw was, I think it was UAE, at something like 8 cents / l (this was a while ago)

(and the thing to remember is that the bulk of your price is in tax - actually in Germany, it's mainly an environment-specific tax, which is kinda cool)
 
oil prices are going up not because of shortness or peak oil but because its planed.There was an informator as oil was 160$ that oil will go down to 40$ and everyone laughed.As it was at 40$ he said oil will grow rapidly and hit new records.If you guys would just listen a bit more alternative media you could make a killing.

Btw oil is not limited as its abiotic means its not created from dead organic plankton.Once people will release it they will see how how they are getting robbed each day by their government
