At my local petrol station diesel is £1.40 per litre and unleaded is £1.34 I find this astronomical pricing. I just wanted to let you guys in the USA know how expensive it is here in the UK.

Hence why I don't drive. With tax and insurance its a fair chunk every month. Doesn't seem all that long ago when it was a quid a litre, and that seemed extortionate then.

    don't worry, you're not alone

almost the same price here (£1.2~$2) and people here in Hungary usually don't earn anywhere near you in UK or the avg in the US

idk exactly, but i think it's safe to say that we earn 2-3 times less than you in the UK and prices of consumer goods, fuel are almost the same...

and you know what, it's still cheaper to go by car from 2 adults than if you'd take the bus, train etc.

I remember when it was around 60p a litre. I used to put £10 in my Ford Orion and it would last me over a week. The good old days...

yeah.....it's an insult. last year there was uproar when it broke £1 a litre..so they dropped it for a few months then slowly raised and raised and this time nothing was said...it's our own faults. We moan but do nothing else. 67% of it is TAX! Got to pay for mass immigration somehow you know!

ah get your-self into the UK..it's open doors. Just claim "political asylum" and you'll handed all kinds of freebies. The EU has destroyed Western Europe.

Yeah it's crazy and it will only climb higher and higher.
A electric-car maybe isn't a bad choice after all. Just too bad they're so expensive.
